Early Dusters were built on India and yes they have trust issues, they should have all been recalled and fixed. Once corrected they no longer have the issue.

Don't hold their value? Against what? A 2.5 year old 13k duster with 30k on it trades now at £7250 clean. That's actually very decent.

See above about the rust.

Radios in everything apart from the base spec, mid spec upwards gets Bluetooth standard too.

Add me to the list of people that really like these things, to the point that I seriously considered one even though I have no need for the space etc. I appreciate the entire concept of them an I do feel a tiny bit of envy when I see one. I like them in the same way I like an old Land Rover or a Suzuki Jimny and I'm sure they will have a similar list of aftermarket accessories for them.

I would hurry up as Primes are no longer available to order so you need to get in quick before any available stock has gone; oh and before they rust away

I like them too. As someone said earlier, just like a Landy or a Jimny. Add the SJ410 to that list, ideally one covered in mud with a chainsaw in the back.

Anything holding 49% after 3 years/30k is a decent proposition for depreciation and hardly dropping like a stone. See if you can get much better than that out of a new Golf. In addition, at £5k/3yrs old, it's likely to start slowing down because people will start saying "hang on, it's only 5 years old/50k (whatever) and under £4k, all the Golfs/Astras/Toyotas at that money are 2 years older and nearly 100k miles" and so the thing starts to have a relatively high intrinsic value.

Spied one of these a few months ago and always meant to research whether it was a factory setup or mods by an owner. Turns out some did come from the factory like this! The Black Edition. Weighing in at £17k! Almost £6k extra for some black vinyl wrap. They do look quite cool though as far as Dusters go.

Percentage wise that's not horrendous depreciation on a mass market, new car, and the monetary loss will be less than the competitors as you paid less for the thing in the first place.

I've not driven any of the Dacia range but for a new car that does a job, surely you could do an awful lot worse...?
