Jeez I feel sorry for you if thats your feelings. I'd happily swap list one for list two, obviously Porsche, Ferrari & Lamborghini would have to come too smile

For me, anything Korean, not sure why, every time I see them launching a new car I am like:

Not as in "not sure if serious" but more "What is this? This isn't right? I don't trust this, I'll pass" hehe
Why feel sorry for me? I'm perfectly happy with my choices.

Your additions are not ones I'd buy either.

Glad we agree on one though. smile

Based on my ownership experience, I would never buy another Land Rover. I had a Discovery TD5 a few years back and it was one of the worst cars I have ever owned. There was never a point at which there wasn't something wrong with it and the local main dealer was rude and unhelpful to the extent I ended up phoning Land Rover in the UK to complain about both the car and them. I'm reliably informed they have improved their products vastly since my time with one, but I'm afraid it put me off them for life.

Can you guys give me specific reasons you would not buy a Hyundai?
There is nothing in their UK range that has any appeal to me whatsoever.

The people who built it probably eat dogs.

If you care about animals, you should probably not buy anything British, as they eat rabbits probably as often as Koreans eat dogs.

I own an imported 2013 Genesis 3.8. RWD, 8 speed, 350bhp, 0-60 in the high 4 second range, beautiful leather work on the interior, you can actually fit a person in the back seat, fit and finish is as good as any BMW, Lexus or Mercedes I have owned and to top it all off, it has a 5 year/100k powertrain warranty. It has easily been the most reliable car I have ever owned (and I have owned over 40 vehicles)

For me the only vehicle I refuse to buy is a Audi or VW outside of warranty range. I love Audi's, but after my last one, there is no way I want to own one without warranty, and I have had friends with pretty new Passats and Golfs that have problem after problem.
Those numbers are a lot better than the ones that I have seen. It might be said that the Genesis is a big lump of a car with an inefficient and not particularly interesting engine.

The rest of the Hyundai range are just so-so cars. Not sure why anyone would choose one over a Ford or Mazda EXCEPT for the warranty, which is seriously excellent.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I have the coupe, not the Saloon, the V6 saloon is a mid 5 second 0-60 barge of a car. I don't know about inefficient, 348 bhp from 3.8 liters, naturally aspirated is not bad, although the MPG is pretty dismal at around 20. I will agree the rest of the range is pretty ho-hum, especially the lineup in the UK (not sure why they don't bring their better cars here), but I would take a Santa-Fe sport any day over a Kuga or the like.

Ah. Got ya. That power output isn't bad, but also not great. Still, a proper engine. And they are rare as hell these days!
