I did consider that rejoinder, although I sometimes wonder whether barges might not be a bit cheaper to run if they were actually more popular used.

Parts would be in more demand and fewer cars would be broken for parts so I wouldn't have thought so.

There might be better support for brand new parts though

Biggest single cost to first,second and possibly even third owners is generally depreciation. If that weren't so stiff, you might see a few more about the place, but as it is a lot of marques struggle to give their barges away.

No but it has an absolutely enormous boot. Had a look at prices again after reading this, seems I bought mine at the right time, prices seem to have climbed a little bit. I certainly couldn't buy mine again at what I paid for it at the moment.
