If it's to be a standard 'car' and not a 4x4, truck etc then I'd say a Nissan Leaf is a good bet.
I have a Mk1 Insight, no way on earth I am going anywhere near even mildy deep water with 175 volts that will happily kill you. Example:

We have always had Landcruiser 80's, currently we have one purely for when it floods at my wife's horse yard, well it is the only way in being a dead end road. Normal depth is about 1m after 3 days of rain, but its been over the bonnet before. Our last cruiser I fitted a snorkel, I sold that one & have yet to fit the snorkel to this "new" one that's done the grand total of 30 miles since I bought it in August I'm sure it will get some use shortly!
This is what you need diesel & clockwork, standard air intake is in the topside of the inner wing at about 1.5m height. The only downside is the inevitable smelly carpet!
This is the flood, it's quite low in this clip, the tractor at 1min in gives some idea of the depth & this was in the lifted cruiser. My wife has been through it once & it came up to the windscreen

Yep, mine swam quite well. I had water over the bonnet (which is probably about 4ft high) on a few occasions with no harm done. It is slightly alarming crossing big fast rivers compared to floods as the current can start washing you downstream but all good fun. Surprisingly the door seals even kept all the water out the interior! Try that in a Landrover and you'll be needing wellies.TurboHatchback said:

Great landscape, epic car.
Thanks, I absolutely agree. Sadly now sold but it performed brilliantly .E36Ross said:
The driver is a first class bellend but I am rather impressed the Yaris survived that, it looked like the back end was actually floating away at a couple of points.E36Ross said:

If you know what you are doing then something with good off roading capability like a Land Rover defender. Otherwise something sporty so you don't get a false sense of security like the twit in defender on the news recently.
Whats was that story ?! Sounds interesting.......E36Ross said:

That's incredible, she did very well either by blind luck or skill...love to have known what see was saying...."yeah I've just driven through, it's a piece of piss"
Half expected her to have a rollie in her mouth and when she wound the window down it was to punch the filmer. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
