As above, John Surtees surely should be the man first in queue from motorsport to be recognised. In and out of the car he represents the very best of British motorsport and is someone we can all be very proud to call a countryman

I'm of the opinion that being knighted is something that you should get after retiring (from sport or business) plus about 5 years - to allow any "issues" (cheating or bad business) to come home to roost, to avoid the whole Fred Goodwin situation of taking it off him.

But in the long run I do think Nick deserves one - but when hes old.
