Ok here is another of mine. The 1 series just drives straight through a red light (which has been red for at least 30 seconds by this point) and it's only because the breakdown truck is paying attention there isn't a shunt.

And yes, that is Radio 4 in the background, I'll get my pipe and slippers.
Meh. Is your life as dull as your videos wink

We need excitement or controversy, not someone wandering through a red light.

I am not sure if you're being serious, the cyclist could've been killed. You have to wonder what goes through the mind of a person to make them act in such a way, or what sort of provocation is required.

Salt with that chip, Sir?

Life and licence would last about 20 minutes driving like that everywhere. He's lived long enough to appear on video in his nice Mercedes-Benz.

I'd say it is, in fact, considerably more likely that he has somewhere to be most urgently.

Or if they were busy texting or doing something else and just not watching. The driving off is beyond any excuse though.

No need to apologise for the editing. The only thing I'd say is that while the Merc was certainly impatient, he hasn't done anything illegal. The line surrounding the hatched area is broken, meaning that you should avoid driving in that area. If the line is solid, then you must not enter except in an emergency. I can't tell if there are double white lines further along.

For all you know the driver just received a call saying his young son or daughter had been in a serious accident and he was rushing to the scene/hospital. In that situation I would have done exactly the same as the Merc driver.
Should not be using the phone whilst driving...........
Says who? As far as I am aware, using the phone whilst driving is perfectly legal. Holding said phone in hand while driving isn't. I'm sure the driver's flashy Merc has Bluetooth as part of its COMAND system.

In my imagined scenario, it's perfectly possible that the driver got the call at his office and then got in the car to rush to the hospital.

Of course the Mercedes driver is trained to drive in such a manner and has the ability to audibly/visually warm other road users of it's presence.

Driving in such a way that could cause injury to other road users is incredibly dangerous, no matter what the situation and probably on balance it's just an impatient clothead.

A massive slip road to aim at, and you missed it. I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't been behind them, then the driver of PO60 ZZG, would have reversed back up the motorway.

https://youtu.be/CWz9-n2Is0s
He probably thought at first that he was moving onto a hard shoulder where he could reverse back. They've done a cheap job of modifying that junction. I think they should have done two proper separate exits like where you go onto the M61 from the southbound carriageway. Most major motorway junctions are like that. This M55 junction just encourages a nasty last second scramble and conflict with those who've got into the inside lane sooner but then try to take the second lane on the extended sliproad.

You get people who get into the inside lane early on and when the extended sliproad splits into two lanes go for the outside one. Then you get people who've stayed in the second lane going across the sliproad lane divider at the same time, conflicting with those in the inside lane going for the same position.

Imagine the silver Toyota Auris here moving in as the white Renault Clio is going for the outside lane of the sliproad.

Then they are fools and cannot follow a big blue sign with reflective arrows on it.

Never said it was OK. I just suspect the guy moved in and anchored on with the intention of reversing back along a hard shoulder to go off onto the M55.

How about another American police officer running someone down?

ITV just now has a dashcam program - it's called "Caught on Camera" (just finishing now, 2100 it started.)
Had to watch this after seeing the comments. Actually thought the show was fairly reasonable for a cheap low budget video clip show... but that "Advanced Driver" chap oh dear. Almost want to write to ITV and tell them to stop giving out terrible advice. Sort of Public Health warning I suppose.

Firstly he probably started the incident by making frustrated driver overtake in L3, who knows, maybe thats why they made such a point of cutting back in. Then he never needed to brake. Yes not even cadence braking FACEPALM... All he had to do was use his considerably skill to ease over into L1 or the hard shoulder with barely a lift or if brave moderate braking. THEN slow to a stop on hardshoulder.

Then the public information bit - Members of public should NEVER stop in the live carriage way. Even with had Hi Viz its not safe. Especially not in the dark and rain. Doesn't matter if he was behind the wreckage there is still every chance another vehicle could plough into you. Not even a good idea walking back up carriage way warning drivers because you'll likely make drivers notice you and not the unlit wrecked vehicle.

Honestly I'm so angry about the last bit I could explode. And no his daughter is not really that attractive maybe 6.5/10

A slow and steady middle lane driver with an IAM certificate driving an Audi is enough to make the universe implode. It will have confused everyone watching no end.

rofl. One of the best gags that show has ever produced.

You're still not right about it being more likely that he drives like that all the time, but that doesn't really matter. More Simpsons amusingness, please.

For assault with a deadly weapon? you could go for attempted murder if you pushed the boat out.

6 points is a joke, this should have been proper jail time.
I reckon hire company is owned by 'innit bruv' type, and hire car is passed around other 'innit bruvs'.
