Well done for stating the obvious.

Also avoidable by the van driver not being an anus.

Avoidable by braking at 0:16.
I wonder what happened there. Was the van already on the roundabout and the cam car pulled out on him? Was the van waiting behind the cam car trying to do a cheeky overtake before the exit?

By the way the cam car was accelerating I'd say the latter.

Was the audio from something else or did they just carry on with a fully normal conversation during that entire event? Maybe it was the worlds most boring radio show?

at what point do you stop making allowances for assholes?after all this one might think twice about being one in future when he has to explain to his gaffer why his van is in a ditch.

Don't loiter in the blind spots... Reckless lorry driver sidesweeps Mercedes and rams it down motorway

How long was that MB overtake, jeeze!
They certainly were not reading the road.
Thinking maybe the truck is left hand drive, with a big blind spot on the right hand side, cant imagine a right hand drive wouldnt notice that car there, then again. Cant but notice the truck is slowly catching up with the van in front, in this situation I always try to move over, or slow down go give him room to pull out. My golden rules, "Observation and anticipation".

No, I am not the best driver in the world, but I am the best I know biggrin

smile
The truck appears to have foreign plates. The Mercedes driver should have seen it closing on the van and got past quickly or moved out to lane three. The lorry driver can't stop on a pin head and it appears to be a smart motorway. The truck driver slows gradually and moves into the refuge area rather than stopping in live lane. Of course the Daily Mail has to scandalise everything and blame the lorry driver from the perspective of watching the video and not understanding the details of what's going on. The likes of Daily Mail Online journalists have a pretty poor standard of observation of the world around them. They won't understand it's a smart motorway, what a smart motorway is and that the lorry driver can't just stop anywhere.

Yeah but to be fair, the rules and reasons for barriers apply to others. This was just unlucky that she got caught out this time.
