Yes truck went for overtake but misjudged the island (or didn't care).
But FFS the cyclist tried to have himself killed on several occasions.
Indeed, people make mistakes all the time. I genuinely think the truck cocked up, as it first pulled out further to negotiate the cyclist, then squeezed him into the edge of the road. Sure, the truck should have backed off upon realising he was approaching a traffic island, but so could the cyclist - and who has more to lose?

Doesn't matter how 'right' you are, dead is dead.

It would have bee a bigger rumpus if he'd done that to me I promise you. I'd have made damn sure that we all ended up in court so the police would have had to give a reason for their usual lack of action.
Big talk for an internet hero!!!

Did you not see the 3 lads in the truck, suppose you would beat them all up and then turn the truck over on its side rolleyes

That did look pretty close re the lorry and it looks like the driver went wide then swung in because of the island

Although when the lorry driver spat at the rider it was disgusting

Difficult to then have sympathy for the rider after though when he chases the lorry and puts himself in several equally dangerous positions , if not more so to prove a point

Crap driving of course but I love the way the BMW's indicator starts flashing more quickly after they collide, presumably after their front headlight got smashed. Simple things hehe

people who drive like that boil my piss much like the cyclist. dangerous driver.

I have yelled at people but I never wanted to start a fight/follow people (someone did try following me to start a fight though). Whenever I come up to those traffic islands I always position myself defensively towards the center to stop people overtaking me.
Yes so angry they are just waiting for this to happen so they can over react and threaten to give people a beat down.

it's a fight or flight response from being hit by something over 2tons. How you continue to act after the intial half half a minute is down to you as a person. Whenever it happens to me it sends my heart racing and adreneline pumping and can really ruin your mood on a fairly pleasant ride.

I love that the intro for their videos is the "stting Peugeot" line. The guy who said that must be due a fortune in royalties by now.

Over reaction that could of got him into a fight with 3 guys who lug heavy steel poles around for a living. It was attempted suicide.

Guy must have a death wish mind, no way I'd be offering two scaffolders out!

Yep, real scaffolders would have taken him apart.

Good job most use Hakki scaffold now, a lot less physical.

Forgot I had this video saved. The idiot in the blue Transporter pulled into the car park and decided to stop while blocking half of the entry way. He had his hazards on, so of course he was entitled to do so. The poor chap in the 5-series did a good job of getting into the bay, although decided to ignore the woman and toddler walking behind the car while he was parking. Then the Merc and the KA make a mess of reversing out of their bays, before the Insignia has to pick its way out because of the van and my car (I couldn't move backwards as I had another car very close to my back bumper to get off the carriageway, appeared while the Merc and KA were fighting). Finally someone decides to walk across our cars, although I don't think he did anything wrong. A bit of a lack of ability by a number of drivers in the clip.

Here's the location, to help clear things up (my rear wheels had just come off the speed bump on the right-most triangle, the van was parked a little forwards of the left): https://goo.gl/maps/Ak9TJXtwbBR2

Here's the video: https://youtu.be/Ix1CThy92-s

Apologies for the lack of sound, I'd accidentally muted the cam.

In the cyclist vs scaffold truck one I thought it was interesting to see that from the cyclists rear view camera you can see that when he initially sees the danger of the truck overtaking at a pinch point, he instinctively starts to back off and stops pedaling, then he must suddenly remember he has his camera on and could get some youtube points for it and starts pedaling furiously again to make the pinch point incident as bad a possible!

Not defending the trucks driving at all btw, before someone suggests I am!

I don't see any bad driving here?

Okay so the van is causing a minor inconvenience, but it just looks like a usual busy car park with people coming and going at the same time.

Out of interest, what would be the legal position in the UK if you didn't bother to stop as the lorry driver?

Just talking hypothetically.

Surely you have a responsibility to avoid an accident if possible.

So if you're a lorryist and slam into the back of a car because you feel like it's done you wrong and the video shows you had ample opportunity to do something you would be accountable?

The amount of tts on Facebook I see "good thing I don't drive a Lorry cos I'd slam into the back of that car and teach them a lesson"... yes, it is a good thing you don't drive a Lorry mate.
