If that's the case, he will most likely have had a dashcam and we should get to see the footage after all. smile

Not sure why some of these people are intent on having an accident to prove a point. Idiots.

only a matter of time before that old man gets seriously hurt by someone if that's the type of incident that makes him stop his car and shout
It is Alloa, that counts as a friendly greeting (I have family in Sauchie).

Had a situation earlier where I pulled out on some guy, ended up having an argument with him.
At a roundabout, old guy in a Subaru is coming from my right with his left hand indicator on, going to exit at the junction I am pulling out from.
So I pull out, quick glance he hasn't taken exit so I boot it to avoid situation, next roundabout 50 yards he is out the window yelling at me
"you stupid why did you pull out on me?"
"Because you indicated left, your indicator told me you were going left."
"No it wasn't I haven't indicated at all you wker"
"Oh, so why is your indicator still fking on then? If you weren't indicating then your indicator wouldn't be on?"

To which he then grumbled something, booted it off in the wrong lane, cut someone up and still left his indicator on, then stopped at same shop I was going to, I may have pointed out to him he left his left hand park lights, and that they would only come on if he left his indicator on, to which he told me to fk off, and I told him I would when he learned how to drive and use an indicator, a five year old could grasp the idea of them and he can't.
Rule 170...

"You should not assume, when waiting at a junction, that a vehicle coming from the right and signalling left will actually turn. Wait and make sure".

HTH
Situation was on a roundabout not a junction.

Rule 185 is applicable me thinks.

100% my fault really, I can do nothing but take it on the chin I pulled out on him, but at the same time, why do you move from right hand lane to left without indicating, then indicate as you hit roundabout, annoying but my fault, I forgot we live in modern Britain full of aholes who can't understand how to negotiate a car down the road and indicate as such, really I should have waited, I am not being sarcastic there, I should have and it is a sad state of affairs really frown

Though I did take a bit of pleasure in correcting his way, no doubt he will continue to accelerate into problems.

Also Day 2 with the Milwaukee heated jumper, basically my life is complete.

If you have any fear of roundabouts, steer clear of the Alloa/Sauchie/Tullibody area. "I'm turning right? That'll be the left lane, then".

A surprising driving action that is common in many of these vids is how often people still refuse to use the brake when they are observing an accident ahead of them. (Often resulting in them becoming involved in a totally avoidable situation).

So its not just the UK where people only use the brake when they've exhausted all other options, when in fact the use of the brake is most probably the first thing that should be done.

Your comment suggests you think about your driving an amazing amount of people behind the wheel don't and they are the reasons threads and videos like these will always be around

But by the same token, on certain roundabouts, if you waited until the coast was completely clear you'd still be waiting at 9pm. You have to make a judgment call. If someone is in the left hand lane and indicating left, it wasn't unreasonable for you to assume they were going to take the exit...

Before or after a prison sentence for dangerous driving?

Should have? Will have I would hope. I was watching that and thinking on seeing the car perched there "well I'd be checking the right hand lane is clear just in case here" and then that happens. You really couldn't avoid that unless you were prepared to go about 40mph under the speed limit on approach to that car. You could perhaps use the horn but given the standard of driving I'd think you'd just startle them into a dangerous manoeuvre anyway.

Bloody awful driving there.

I pretty much guarantee no jail time for that Jazz driver.

Had it been a young lad in a flash motor.......it'd have been national news.

I was amazed to find it was in Northern Ireland. I assumed it was somewhere on the South Coast near me. That's just how badly half our Jazz drivers would drive, if they thought of it.

Nothing unusual there. I see all of that on my daily commutes, well, apart from sheddy Astras driving over kerbs because the driver is that desperate for a pack of Golden Virginia.

Yeah. Sadly not one of those roundabouts, but appreciate where you're coming from, but I should not have assumed really, here's a route map.
Point of start is where guy was, I was at the first exit off that roundabout, maybe we will get dashcam, I'll keep searching my plate

Severe lack of bikers riding into danger and over-dramatically shaking their heads this week.

ETA ah I see there was a biker special on the channel earlier this week.
