king keep using the right lane ?!The problem is that it is (was) a temp layout, so the signs say one thing, and normal driving might imply another. It's a roundabout, but the curves in the road are wrong for "normal" expectations. The "straight on" is referring to the old road layout as much as owt else, so the 2 straight on ones are meant to point to Liverpool / airport, even though they're physically a left turn of the steering wheel.
It makes DCW technically in the right because the signs say he is, but it reinforces him as a DCW because rather than think "this layout is confusing, I'll compensate for giving other drivers a bit of slack" he thinks "I can do this repeatedly and film how much of a everyone else is". It's exactly the type of wk internal processes that makes a person buy a dashcam and put avoidable incidents on youtube.
I'll be going through there tomorrow. I'll manage to not beep at anyone, or have even a vague near miss (like every other time I've gone that way since they pulled down the flyover).
