I can't be the only person who thinks it's incredibly stupid putting pedestrian crossings at the entries/exits of roundabouts.

What do they mean by 'raised tables' in that article? Sounds like they haven't got room to fit it properly but they're going to bodge it in anyway.

My understanding is 'raised table' crossings are on a level above the normal road surface thus providing a 'sleeping policeman' effect as well as a crossing.

Did you note tht they are not zebra crossings but they are tiger crossings

There are a number of roundabouts near me with zebra crossings on the exits. They are really daft, they cause extra congestion and accidents.

That setup above just looks like a total dog's dinner.

.
Putting pedestrian crossings where pedestrians want to cross seems like a good idea to me. They only cause accidents if the drivers are not being observant.

Well, what with the run-up to Christmas, suppose everyone was taking it easy having had a drink or two, thus a lack on reportage.
I saw this and think we missed it. On or two oldies but couple of good ones!

wonder how the insurance companies will rule on number 4. You can guarantee the 206 tried to pull a stunt at the roundabout. Bet they wont try and "play" with an articulated lorry again

I was going to link this from a different page, as some were blaming the truck driver for poor observation, but it looks like the page owners removed it.

I think the truck driver did all he could.

Only person to blame there is the silver car. Too close and not paying attention.
Truck was blameless.

If the lines weren't painted I'd say you were both in the wrong, but christ that is a badly marked roundabout, they need to rethink that

The silver car had already hit the blue one slowing down!

Truck completely blameless!

The second one with the pug about 35 seconds in I can understand some of the confusion, that roundabout is st, no one knows what lane to be in
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Ysbytty+Fields...

From that direction
First lane is first exit
Second is second exit
Third is every other route.
But people use the first to exit the second and soon run out of road quickly, the second to go to the third and cut everyone off.

Coming from directly opposite (Abergavenny), left hand lane is first exit
right hand lane is also first exit and anything after, but people use the first lane to go third exit and wipe out people taking right hand lane for second exit, the first and second exit being designated lanes to go different ways after exiting, then you get cut up because someone in the first exit decides, st I am not going to Hereford I need to be in the second lane.

Coming from the opposite way to the pug crash, more less the same as above, but you exit to straight ahead in the right hand lane for Monmouthshire, and left hand lane for Hereford, no one gets it right,
nightmare on the bike, someone always tries to take you out

I think the reason it was removed from the other Facebook page, is due to the amount of idiots, or trolls blaming the innocent truck driver.

That side isn't anywhere near as bad as hitting the roundabout from the junction the bus is sitting at 😁.

Driver exits somersaulting truck at a fair speed....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DgQWTVbBI8

He was taken to hospital in Jatai with injuries including two leg fractures. But a relative told a local paper his condition was stable and not life-threatening and he was due to be taken to the nearby city of Goiania in the coming hours for surgery.
