I really don't want to watch any more of their compilations, going on for half of that was either deliberately made worse by the cam car or was at least in part caused by a total lack of attention from the cam car. Why the hell they'd send the clips in to be published I just can't figure out.

I'd rather not have an accident or cause a confrontation than be "in the right". Crazy, eh?

I probably will keep watching them though, they're compulsive biggrin

What is showing in top right?

All the other are obvious, top-left is front looking forward, bottom left is near-side looking backward and bottom right is off-side looking backwards.

Top right seems to show truck on wrong side of road and car passing on left like is image inverted from looking in mirror or something. If mirror image then Astra is not right behind truck but comes from long way back.

At a guess, the rear camera isn't set up properly and is showing a mirror image?

He'll get his comeuppance one day, you watch.

In that video, he's berating the driver of a red Corsa (1:17 onwards) - I can't see what was wrong, really I can't.

And, an articulated lorry supposedly jumps a red light (3:44)? No he didn't, he was committed and to brake hard, that late laden to 38/44 tonnes or not would have been worse in my opinion.

Clearly looking for a fight this bloke and in many cases, he's making a right issue of what are, to me genuine errors.

I wouldn't be too upset if I heard that someone dragged him out of his car and gave him a bloody good hiding.

Has anyone else picked up on the common occurrence by these dashcammers to tap their cameras - noted by the shuffling noise and lense movement - whenever something happens?

Really?

I'm no expert as I'm not a dashcam numpty but I'd imagine it's them hitting the capture button to record that particular time frame.

Often before they try something crazy like using the horn, checking mirrors, braking or moving their steering wheel to try and avoid a potential issue.

Yeah I know, when I got one it was a bit of a novelty but if someone smashes into me (or I want PH to analyse my use of the horn) I'll save something. Otherwise I don't care if it gets overwritten or not.

When you start driving around looking for things to upload you end up driving into situations, like 50% of the UK driving compilations where these lemmings just totally drive blind into anything that comes into their path.

Dashcams should be legally required to be like black boxes. They record all the time, but cannot actually be reviewed unless a certain impact is registered and the footage could be required for an insurance claim or police report. Would stop these sad little road warriors uploading non-event footage showing nothing but their own ineptitude and mental imbalances.

Bit of copyright infringement too, using the Audi logo at the start of the video without permission.

That said some of the Audi drivers were total cocks.

One of the reasons I'd quite like a dashcam is to capture other peoples accidents to help and assist innocent parties.

You don't have to watch their videos.

One of his clips on there sounds as if he has re-recorded his own commentary (in the comfort of his own home?) but still profanitorating mightily...although some of the driving is worthy of castigation TBF.

Not exactly dash cam, but a recording whilst driving like a cock....

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/7168063/...

"A boy racer filmed himself doing 108mph with one hand on the wheel while streaming the footage live on the internet."

and naturally...“I am really, really sorry but I still think I am a safe driver.”

That's quite alright - it no longer needs to be dashcam: the thread was generously retitled.

The article quotes a "£30k Golf R"... now I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure the car in the picture is a bog spec Golf..

That's not a Golf R, unless they have the red line at 5k. TDI I suspect.

Scary.
"Warwickshire Police has released footage from a dashboard camera of the moment a lorry ploughs into cars on the A46 in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Driver Martin Gibson, 54, of Bathurst Road, Gloucester, pleaded guilty to five counts of dangerous driving and was jailed for 15 months on Friday 20 May.
The other drivers in the six-vehicle crash in May 2015 were seriously hurt."
