They do it so they can nip into the cycle lane as soon as the traffic backs up at Lambeth Bridge roundabout...

She tries to take a swerve at the Ford Pickup at 1:15. 100% her fault, no mirror check, no signal, just a blind move out into the other carrigeway.

I would pass the video to the Police.

What a prat the 'helmet' cammer is.

Once again we get a knob pointing out everyone else's poor standards when he is either causing them by miss reading the situation or simply riding into avoidable danger.

Then plays the hero at a crash, wonder if he took time to put his undies on over his trousers.
Bugs me that he moans about other peoples misdemeanors but uses the advanced stop area himself after the lights gone red. rolleyes

I didn't watch the whole video, but he puts on text comments about "car driver not looking" or "biker not looking", yet you can see from the lack of camera movement that he's not making lifesaver checks or even looking in his mirrors a lot of the time.

She was deliberately trying to block the other lane.

Golf v Evo incident.

I'd be telling the Golf driver where to go, especially as there is video evidence. Golf clearly at fault.

Then again I've not got an Evo sized insurance premium so that's easy for me to say.

Some absolutely terrifying non-events on this one. Be warned.

I send the insurance company that video link as I think it will be down wholey to the golf driver. Several cars go though the gap, bigger than yours, and she moved over on you. Deliberately, there was no obstruction, she also does not indicate. It's careless or even dangerous driving, had she done it to a motorbike or cyclist, she could have killed him.

Don't pay up, claim against her and there is the evidence to prove it.

Please do contest that. Her road positioning was terrible, without any indication, and aggressive. She was the instigator of that collision, and I can't imagine many insurers disagreeing.

Please don't buckle and reward such aggressive behaviour. It only encourages the morons.

Morally, StottyEvo is 100% in the right, but I think he's probably right that the insurance company would go 50/50. Legally, again I suspect the Police might regard it as less clear cut, regardless of how much a spacktard the Gold driver is.

Where I think StottyEvo is on slightly shaky ground is the absence of any braking on his part as the Golf starts to move over.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, I think the Golf driver is a self important, small minded cretin. What the hell do they think the other lane is for - decoration?

I'm going to go and hide now before WD39 and the APIS vigilante squad hunt me down.

Why do people go out of their way to get into a confrontational situation? (Her, not you).

Road Captains. We've all seen them.

The Evo driver isn't even slightly at fault, she was deliberately trying to block traffic - i'd hope after seeing the video the police would treat it as careless driving.

But we are much more risk averse than when cars, trucks & planes were embedded in how society functions and of course much more likely to sue. So any driverless car will have to be really quite bombproof before it becomes universally accepted.

Would be nice to have a car that would drive you back form the pub, but I bet that won't be allowed (imagine the headlines in the daily wail)
Quite, can you imagine someone these days trying to sell you a mode of transport that involves storing about 50 litres of highly flammable liquid under the rear passenger seats and requires several thousand explosions per minute of said flammable liquid a couple feet in front of you, and expels poisonous gasses that could kill someone in a matter of minutes...

It's actually me who obliterates her wing mirror, according to her and the witness' I shouldn't have been "pushing in" (its about 250m before a merge in turn) and I owe her a wing mirror, she's getting an estimate from a garage today.

I imagine there is a strong argument for 50 50 as I could've probably stopped in time, might just pay for her wing mirror as the last time I had a non fault accident my insurance sky rocketed.
i feel for you - idiots like the golf driver really are pathetic - they don't understand merge in turn and not only get all offended when they see people they think are 'queue jumping', but some try and stop it like this nob.

damn nice can you have there though smokin
Gutted for you as well, shame you're not pursuing due to insurance.

Hopefully karma will catch up to her one day...

I'd be very tempted just just ignore any contact from her when she trys to bill you for a wing mirror. Or tell her to fk off when she calls, inviting her to view the video footage on a link that you will send her, mentioning that an insurance co. would rule against her and if she did report it you'd forward the clip onto the local police...she'll likely back off as I doubt she'll bother to approach her own insurance company over what is £100 tops....

If she does, you show them the video, deny any responsibility as she pulled into your lane and state that you were happy to let the damage to your own car go at the time but as she has dared to claim, you'll have a new mirror of your own on her account.

Ask her if she's got a dispensation to block a lane off, or what authority she has to police the traffic.

She's just called, had a few quotes and the best came in at £60. I said it sounds reasonable and I'll meet her and give her the cash tomorrow.

It'll make my life much easier going forwards (and save a packet of money compared to if we went through insurance!)

I will also try my best to educate her on the errors of her ways laugh

You've got video of her moving over into your lane to deliberately obstruct you. This is the type of footage that the police should see.

I would rather shove wasps up my **** than give her anything. Of course it's up to you if you can be bothered with the hassle or not.

Maybe she'll think twice now...

Give her the URL of this thread at the point from the video being posted..... let's see if she has the gumption to justify her actions....
