Can't you see the parrot on the cyclist's shoulder?

I've had a dashcam for about a year, and this is the first thing that's happened of any note.

Travelling north on the M6 just going past Knutsford services. The traffic was heavy but moving at 50mph in the roadworks.
I'm always wary when passing services in lane 1, but I was just thinking "ahh, I won't have to slow down if someone comes out" when this happened. (silly me was assuming they would use the sliproad to accelerate up to speed before joining)

Id of had to pull over to change my pants after that, good job.
It looks like the guy didn't anticipate suddenly finding himself on the main carriageway at that point. It is a bit of a short sliproad with little visibility and little run up as it is there.
I wonder if they were following the old markings that have been painted over but are still somewhat visible - or maybe they're familiar with the junction so not looking at the markings (except they didn't realise it's been changed)?

Avoidable by braking at 0:16.
Avoidable by van driver obeying highway code.
In what way?

Having viewed a couple of times I think the van was following the bike around the roundabout in a normal manner. DCW decides to accelerate hard and get in between them when he should have given way to the van already on the roundabout.
Agreed. Cam car was on the horn but not slowing down. Grade A cockjockey who should be prosecuted.

I think he thought that L1 was his slip road and was very surprised to find that it wasn't hehe

Why the Hell didn't that Mercedes follow the slip road to gain speed and match other traffic before pulling out? They're completely in the wrong!

Simple mistake.

Thought the temporary sliproad was the hard shoulder, and the temporary l1 was the sliproad.

Indeed. The difference between "feeling" and "doing" is what distinguishes the sociopaths.

The cyclist is a bell end who deserves a good stabbing. Even swerving slightly to block an overtake is the action of a tool and he rode right out to the centre line. Car drivers mistake was in not just running him over and using the camera footage to show the bike swerved into his path.

MGetIF vs MStayIF, both of them assholes

Yeah. Being delayed for 5 seconds is a justifiable reason to stab someone.

The cyclist is a fool swerving out like that, but the car driver should be in jail.

He rode into the middle to defend his position, basically saying 'don't overtake me yet'. you can see the driver was going to end up overtaking him while on the roundabout with the way he was driving.

Exactly. Although the tosser in the van may well try to excuse himself by saying "guv, I did indicate...".
Total dhead who got what he deserved.

There is some "remarkable" driving behaviour in some of these countries (SE & Eastern Europe, Turkey, etc.). A lot of drivers use emergency service vehicles with sirens and flashing lights as an "excuse" to speed through the traffic themselves. Total idiots. If they had one extra brain cell it would be lonely.

Can't make out how the driver thought cyclists touched his car. As you say, should be in jail.

Yeah! And if he had a child in the car and your actions resulted in serious injury or death, so be it!

You idiots shouldn't be on the road.

Except he left it way too late. He doesn't move out until the truck is already well over the white line and committed to the overtake.

Stupid, dangerous overtake from the truck. Stupid, dangerous swerve from the cyclist followed by even more stupid, agressive riding on the roundabout. Followed by... rolleyes
