Bloody hell..........I'm guessing either the Volvo or blue car changed lanes without checking the blindspot and tried and evasive manoeuvre?simoid said:
ITV just now has a dashcam program - it's called "Caught on Camera" (just finishing now, 2100 it started.)
In that programme was an old guy with his daughter. He thought he was good in avoiding the spinning car but he was a MLM. When the video started he was in the middle lane and the coach in lane 1 was miles away. The woman in Belfast who couldn't park should hand in her licence (if she has one).

I'm currently watching it on ITV Player and facepalming hard. The show is wooden scripted, most of the vids are rubbish and that 'hero' dad is about the worst AD stereotype going. AD is nothing to do with driving slowly, let alone being a MLM who hogs lane 2 well under the speed limit, and 'saves lives' by... er... applying the brakes in a straight line. I love the references to him 'pumping the brakes repeatedly'. ADers are all too aware that cadence braking is useless on anything with ABS. I think he must have done a course in work once 30 years ago and has worn his shiny 'AD badge' ever since. I stand willing to be corrected, but what a load of over hyped drivel. Not a dash cam, but showing a hit and run, where no prosecution followed apparently.

Apologies for iMovie editing but it was 2 years ago and I had a new toy to play with.

I can't believe they couldn't prove that, will have come down to money at the end of the day.

No need to apologise for the editing. The only thing I'd say is that while the Merc was certainly impatient, he hasn't done anything illegal. The line surrounding the hatched area is broken, meaning that you should avoid driving in that area. If the line is solid, then you must not enter except in an emergency. I can't tell if there are double white lines further along.Apologies for iMovie editing but it was 2 years ago and I had a new toy to play with.
For all you know the driver just received a call saying his young son or daughter had been in a serious accident and he was rushing to the scene/hospital. In that situation I would have done exactly the same as the Merc driver.

I highly highly doubt it was that though. No. Far more likely the driver is just a self important, entitled fkwit. For all you know the driver just received a call saying his young son or daughter had been in a serious accident and he was rushing to the scene/hospital. You can almost hear him saying "I've never been in an accident, but I've seen lots behind me..." as he continues his poor lane discipline. And his thick daughter saying how he saved their lives... by pressing the brake pedal...
The video of the old guy driving seven miles the wrong way on a dual carriageway was also annoying - especially when they said he wasn't charged! I think they reported him to the DVLA at least. Quite annoying.
I think I prefer the dashcam thread as at least it doesn't have adverts or Jamie Theakston in it

Salt with that chip, Sir?Life and licence would last about 20 minutes driving like that everywhere. He's lived long enough to appear on video in his nice Mercedes-Benz.
I'd say it is, in fact, considerably more likely that he has somewhere to be most urgently.
Re: that dreadful TV show. T'was clearly designed to rile actual drivers who found themselves watching it. The only prosecution was the only accident which was a 50:50 (as a turn of phrase). That "advanced driver" was the least talented of the lot. Daily Wail clickbait at its worst.

6 points is a joke, this should have been proper jail time.

Ok here is another of mine. The 1 series just drives straight through a red light (which has been red for at least 30 seconds by this point) and it's only because the breakdown truck is paying attention there isn't a shunt.
And yes, that is Radio 4 in the background, I'll get my pipe and slippers.
