Love the one where the older guy was rear ended and then started to have walking difficulty getting back into his car but was fine when he got out. Even the dash cam guy said something like "don't even start!"

5:13 - A classic example of the effect of horn first and no avoiding action until much later. The driver pulling out on the cam car reacted to the horn sound and stopped almost causing the cam car to drive in to the back. Cam car would have been for better to have eased off or braked, the horn made it worse as the other driver was never going to react in a favorable way.

Also frightening how many of the little beeps from the time logging button were being done whist the incident was still developing. Almost as if the driver's main objective was to get an many clips as possible rather than manage a situation.
I've always said that if you had time to use your horn, it wasn't close.

A fair amount of these dashcam clips show the source driver failing to anticipate what could happen. Not seeing an oncoming car will probably be pulling out round a parked car; Or they fly across roundabouts trying to dominate them with speed etc.

I wouldn't either.

Last time I did it, the woman turned on me, despite the fact her "boyfriend" had punched her clean in the face only moments before. I felt a complete idiot. Never again.

I'd report it to the police if it were serious, but otherwise I wouldn't intervene.
Exactly the same thing happened to a work colleague of mine. Came across a couple involved in a domestic one of the guys he was with decided to help her out and dragged the rest of the group in...... Turns out she was a better street fighter than most blokes and Jackie The Ladette gave my co-worker and his mates a right pasting!

Answers that then, cheers guys.

What an extraordinary way to unload a truck at 27-10.

Good fun watching the ruskis, then fun followed up with having them repair the crashes.

I was ready to slate those repairs, but that's thorough work. Not as good as original, but not a bodge by any means - check out the Touareg with the bent chassis leg, proper metal work.

Would you trust it to crumple as designed ?

Looks like the driver fell asleep. I think quite a bit of the road is covered by average speed cameras.

Russian cut and shut, not wonder so many of them split in half in accidents.

I'm not so sure in that case to be honest. Seemed like he picked all the spot weld panels apart and stitched it back together at appropriate points (like when it was built) . Its not like it was just a single line of MIG holding it together.

Other than using new panels, how else would you expect to to see it repaired? Or are you saying cars with that level of damage simply can't be fixed?

I'll bet that's not what's happening. On my dashcam, you might have to press the "save" button two or three times. First press wakes up the screen, second click to save and third click if the second one doesn't register, which half the time it doesn't. Now I just click it three times if I want to save anything, to make sure it saves. That way I don't have to look at the screen to confirm I've saved a clip.

I've been meaning to post one of his videos for a while, I find them fascinating.

For comparison purposes, here is another really interesting one (well, I think it is) showing the extent of a welding and panel replacement needed to do a "proper" repair.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzOA9XURMUU

It seems that he has done his best to stick to factory weld spots, although the welds across the C-Pillars are certainly not desireable. Either way, I'd rather drive that than the last cut'n'shut that I drove, at least he moved the wiring looms out of the way instead of slicing through the rear speaker cables...

I was both horrified and impressed by the BMW repair. Whatever you think of the repair method, the guy has seriously impressive metalworking and welding skills. I would love to know how that car drove afterwards.

The rear right ride height seemed a bit off. Maybe he hadn't finished everything.
