Hey hey hey, look at me, look at me, hey police pull this bh! Beep beeeeeeep beep toot on the fking horn get a grip you whiny spaz. The pipping the horn and waving was so cringeworthy I can't believe he even posted it. He must be 16/17 honestly.
I don't believe a word of it. Reckon that's his mates dressed up a spolice just to make a YouTube video. Cannot believe police would have taken any notice of him.

P.S She never got a ticket, so the bikers time was wasted,
She got 2 tickets. The cop reviewed the footage and issued 1 for passing on right and 1 for unsafe lane change.

Seems fair enough.

Biker had 2 options faced with someone making a genuine mistake - yield or make himself visible. He chose to make himself visible so she could yield. That really should have been the end of it.

She then escalated a genuine mistake into a deliberate fk you so I've no sympathy for that kind of driver.
Who says? The guy who posted the footage? Ha ha ha ha.

Would you like to buy some magic beans from me, much cheapness.

rofl Yeah, I bet all the other drivers were in on it too, and the cops didn't mind them dressing up a car as a police car, lights and sirens and everything laugh

What's the balance of probabilities for that poor cop with a camera rammed in his face. He'll either want to confiscate or be squeaky clean. He didn't confiscate so...

She got 2 tickets.

As someone else has mentioned, never believe any of the comments made on YouTube. You would think the cop issuing a ticket or telling off the women would be the money shot for the biker. Strange that the footage stops.

Not that it really matters anyway. Doesn't really change the point I was trying to make with regards to the biker exacerbating the issue when he could have easily avoided it. No doubt egged on by the fact he was armed with a camera.

I assume the footage stops because the police officer would need to be able to review footage. Perhaps he didn't get everything set up in time to record the moment or maybe the cop told him not to film. We don't know.

He'll have had to stop recording to show the video to the cop I suppose. But, could all still be a bikers wet dream. If you cling really really tightly to the idea put your fingers in your ears and shout na na na na I'm not listening... Maybe, possibly? laugh

Occam's razor? She's probably already paid the tickets...

As to your point, the biker saw the situation and had 2 choices, get out the way or make himself visible. Anything after he made himself visible is inexcusable disregard for a vulnerable road user

In my opinion he wasn't making himself more visible. He was creating further confrontation for the camera. The women was clearly in the wrong, but to put your own life in her hands to prove a point is madness.

Buy hey, he was in the right.

And I still wouldn't believe what he said about her being issues two tickets. Not that it really matters.

We're going on the assumption she just hadn't seen him, not that she deliberately set out to bully her way in. That'd just be plain wrong.

He does the whiny rain dance thing (or creates further confrontation, pick your horse), she sees him. Mission accomplished, all sorted.

Well, until she escalates it further saying fk you, I see you now but I'm still going. Inexcusable.

She could have escalated it further or panicked or whatever. Just not worth the risk in my opinion. He's on a bike and putting his life in her hands by taking that position.

I've been driving a long time and had several similar incidents through the years. Hell i might even made a few mistakes myself along the way. No one's perfect. Life's too short, it's not worth the hassle. Ease off the accelerator and job done.

Experienced my first proper road rage incident for a good few years this morning resulting in a young woman determined that I'd crash into her rear at speed because she took issue at my driving:

First ever time I've uploaded footage in the two years I've had a dashcam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuCjy51u738

At 20 seconds in she thought I was too close to her rear ( despite there being plenty of road for a bus between us and no cars in inside line) and brake tested me - all this resulted in was her jolting forward.

At 36 seconds she starts giving me the wker sign.

At 58 seconds as I drive past I get the abuse signs again and I drive along side asking her what the problem is but she has some wire coming out of her ear and continues to give me more abuse.

At 1.23 she drives up my backside flashing her lights and I stupidly make the situation worse by giving her screen wash.

At 2:46 it gets really bad. she's right up my backside giving me more hand signals. I lose my temper and turn my head around gesticulating to tell me what her fking problem is. She undertakes I ignore it then she pulls out and does that.

After the video she's continuing to give me the wker sign for the next two minutes. I unplug my dashcam, drive alongside her and show it her. She does a mock smile pose but then suddenly no more abuse. biggrin
Pah, come on dude! Lets see the footage

Ask any biker that's been involved in an accident and they'll tell the list of excuses that spout out of drivers mouths.

I've been a biker for 9 years and only had one scary moment because of a car, 0 actual incidents or reactions like this guy. Take from that what you will. SMIDSY happens whether it's a car, bike or container ship, the vehicle isn't relevant.

It's not the worst thing in the world, but people blocking a merge in turn are annoying and I suspect she was doing it deliberately rather than making a mistake. Yield to one and it can lead to all those behind blocking you as well, so the biker would have been stuck in the middle of the road.

There are lots of merge points around where I live, lots of junctions have been modified recently to feature two lanes and a merge point. There's one right outside my office window and all day long people are playing silly buggers there and there's a guy in a battered white Land Rover Defender who I've seen deliberately accelerate and drive into people rather than let them merge. The police speaking to these idiots and handing out a few fines would be very satisfying.

In the USA, and even more so in Australia, merging in turn is more of a specific rule than it is here, where it's generally a guideline, and it's strongly enforced.

Australia is supposed to be a laid back country but they're very anal about a lot of silly little rules. You can be fined for jaywalking there and there are videos about things like merging in turn, funded by speed and red light camera revenue.

It's his decision to make. I can see he kept his options open and with his skilled riding he kindly stepped in to save her from the experiencing the horror of creating a crash. (laughlaugh)

Not that it matters. The point here is who do we pin the blame on and that's fully on the car (as usual laugh)

Driver doesn't merge with biker... Biker pulls ahead and informs police, police pull over driver...
Is it just me, or does the bike fail to keep pace with the truck, almost as if he was trying to manufacture an incident ?

That said, the car should have yielded

In my time in Aus, I noticed generally they are laid back... until they're behind the wheel. Then they all turn crazy aggressive, <1 second gap seems compulsory and if someone made the slightest mistake they'd be met with a barrage of horns and every swear word imaginable and more.

Time to throw a hand grenade in and run.... RE US Biker Video...

I see it as a deliberate attempt by the biker to create confrontation....

He drops well back from the rear of the truck and the driver in the car accelerates to keep up with the truck whereas Nasal Whiney Biker drops back... he had plenty of time and opportunity to overtake the truck prior to the car becoming visible on his right...

In the UK a biker would have been long gone and making progress....

He started on her a full 4-5 seconds before the road actually merges...He knew exactly what he was going to do, I wonder if there was an earlier incident that he is not sharing...
