The truck did well initially, moved over.
The red car was an idiot, brake checking a truck is foolish especially for a problem you created.
However, the truck is on dodgy ground with those extra bumps at the end (tempting though it would be).

I always thought that if you had clear footage of a car brake checking you, including the run up to the incident, you could take it to the police?

The lorry driver said they weren't interested in the footage, which I'm surprised to read.

Aye, the car completely created that - why was it even braking? I can't see anything done by the lorry that should have riled up even the most short-tempered driver.

The bumps at the end, yes the lorry driver could/should have avoided those but I think I would have expected the car to move off the acceleration lane and on to the very useful and welcoming hard shoulder only 5m further up (plus another few metres for the lorry), maybe the HGV driver had the same assumption. Is it even legal to stop there in that situation?

Weird wasn't it? it seemed totally unprovoked. I guess the lorry driver was a bit angry hence the bumps after but tbh the car wasn't on the hard shoulder.

My take is he didnt see the Lambo, and with only 10 seconds between passing one car and catching another up, would you have moved over? Definate a non event though. Again the Lambo could have been behind him, and decided to floor it because he could, wouldnt mind a shot myself. Daft move.

The Lamborghini could have behind him for miles and got fed up with him not moving over and twenty for the undertake.

In this scenario Lamborghini driver remains a tt for dangerous driving and the cam car is another typical camper ares hole. smile

I'd agree with all that- given there's hard shoulder ahead I wouldn't even entertain stopping where the Civic did. Total knob.

?
If you look as the HGV is going under the bridge 20 Secs'ish he appears to jink to the left twice, Perhaps Civic driver thought he was trying to force him over ?

How does the Civic get in front of the other red hatchback on the slip road? I'd guess he was trying to undertake the lorry as the lorry was about to move back to L1. Hence the aborted move left.

I think you've found the issue: first red hatchback moves on to carriageway as soon as it reaches the give way line, lorry has gone past and expects to be able to move back to lane 1; in the meantime, the Civic has effectively undertaken the hatchback and wants to join the carriageway where the lorry is now attempting to move.

Most odd, the truck is doing a steady 54 mph, passing the car, it then pulls in front of the truck and slows......... WTF.

Hopefully when the car drivers insurers submit a claim to the haulage contractor, they send them a copy of the vid.

3:15 - the camera car continues to drive into danger when it was obvious the bin lorry was making a move which it had started the very instant the camera car rounds the bend. Seemed to stop at the last possible moment when they had plenty of time and space to slow down. Must be a nightmare pulling out of a junction like that in a heavy vehicle.

And at 3:39 we have the old classic; everyone pile into lane 3 when the traffic slows. Amazes me that people do that.

"Pull over we'll have you for section 5" laugh

He is heading for a kicking. And the guy on the red bike needs to learn to use his eyes and indicators.

4:28 - probably needs some context but blue car seems to be on a go slow, Audi safely overtakes out of frustration then blue car decides to put their foot down?

4:51 - lack of foresight from the car on the slip road, although multiple people should have helped the situation by moving and allowing the car to merge. People stopping on slip roads is not ideal.

6:12 - Same biker appears multiple times in this compilation (which in itself tells you he's a bit of a knob). Enjoys doing the "no no" head shakey shakey for none issues.

6:25 - I'm of the opinion that if you can be undertaken then you're in the wrong lane.

7:07 - Same biker AGAIN? The Audi is up your arse because you're hogging L2 you utter tool.

8:12 - What are you doing you throbber? "He's just gone through a red light" So f***? It's an empty road, no other traffic around, probably a genuine mistake. What does biker do? Gives chase on a pedal bike down the middle of a DC in the dark, spends several mins chasing the car then pulls in-front and forces it to stop and wonders why the passenger gives him an appropriate hand gesture! Not only that he then does it a second time! WTF!

I'm at work so don't have sound, therefore can't listen to the argument, but so far the bike rider is a complete throbber for trying to self police the roads.

Different car. I don't recognize it, but it's not a Civic that he passes.

Pretty classic. Everyone driving too close in L3 (cam car included) and/or rubbernecking at the incident on the other carriageway.

Followed by "Let's all stop in L3 to exchange insurance details."
