The fact that the cyclist went through a red light does not make it OK to run them down!
Actually I missed the red light.

Dunno about that. There were plenty of fktards getting very close to causing a potentially life changing/fatal event. Not least the last clip- can't see and still not slowing down.
Good point as i was watching with one eye on that and one on the TV.
Another video containing lots of bikers going far too fast, interspersed with careless car drivers. Not really news is it!
Weird, over revving the bike rather than using the horn.
Not giving up the space when a bigger vehicle is coming over, just to make a point? No good if splattered.

Quite.

I hate to sound anti-biker (I'm not), but if you're not prepared to ride defensively around careless car drivers, what do you expect? It's already a biker mantra that cagers are idiots...

Bit of an "exaggerated head shaking fest", isn't it?

I hate the head shake, I never do it on the bike it infuriates drivers.

And in almost all of the cases where a car or van was moving into the left lane they were positioned in the blind spot for a long time, right on the rear quarter and out of sight of wing mirrors. Stay the fk in people's mirrors and hang back slightly or get in front.

Loads of instances of bikes filetering past stationary traffic, and cars merging/pulling out of side roads - I really think the bike needs to be very very careful in these situations and really is as much to blame if anything happens.

If anyone watched till the end that crash looks bad! Biker totally at fault though!

Maybe the horn is knackered or too feeble.

It's easier - anyone who used to ride (or still does) an old school 2 stroke probably rides covering the clutch all the time anyway, so it's easy enough to pull it in. If they're filtering, riding in slow traffic, making/anticipating a manoeuvre then they're possibly/probably covering the clutch. If you already have fingers over the clutch lever, a) the last thing you want to do is also lift your thumb off the bar to press the horn button and have zero grip on the bar; and b) it would take longer to put your fingers back on the bar to lift your thumb to the horn and then have no clutch control, possibly when you need it most.

I reckon they've all seen it on Youtube and are copying.

Go do a CBT and give it a try. Like xRIEx says, you're using the clutch so much in filtering that it's easier.

I've always thought of revving as polite compared to a horn, but it's not being used that way in those videos.

I've always ridden covering the clutch (can't break that habit), it doesn't seem particularly difficult to press the horn when necessary.

The riders revving the tits off just seemed to have very little machine control.

Straight into the back of a stationary vehicle in low light. Not sure what he was doing waving his left hand around, but wasn't paying attention.

Obviously he was trying to shade his eyes. Riding into a low sun is horrible on a bike, especially if your visor has collected a load of bugs.

Whilst a lot of those bike accidents aren't the riders fault there is a serious lack of imagination by most of them! Absolutely zero forward planning or anticipation..

It says he cannot see, so why is he not going slowly ?

Just after the start, not a good idea to overtake a van on a junction.
