Panicked and target fixated on the sign rather than looking around the corner. No excuse for not making that corner other than crap riding.
Not a biker but always applied the same rule to mountain biking, stare at the tree and you'll hit it!The crash of the biker is just down the road from me in Basingstoke lol
On the video he posted on his own blog channel he is riding like a bit of a douchebag. About 20 seconds before the accident he says something like "it's abit slippy i wonder how far i can go" or something like that.

Also ... the crash at 2:05 - WTF - Camera car should have backed off... no excuse for the van but the camera car caused that.
2:40 was just funny.
2:55 with the kid, camera car going too fast IMHO but bugger me that kid really should learn the green cross code and IMO if it was brought to me I'd say the kid was at fault if he was hit.
3:45.. all Corsa drivers are wkers, fact.

Speeding mondeo locks up its brakes behind one of those tiny wheel chair vans at a roundabout

1:50 ... why do cyclists stare at the road in front of them and not look where they are going ??https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-EWLFXR460

and also, cyclists need to look at the road (not just traffic) for any debris, dips, cracks, gutters or potholes. it's one reason why I tend to steer away from cycling in some cycle lanes, they're not safe to travel on. this is most evident in areas with heavy bus use as they tend to warp the tarmac!
Look at the camera angle in relation to the cyclists arms, chest mounted and therefore doesn't relate to where the cyclist was looking. Pressing on, hardly. 1:56 shows speed at 19.
Car turned in across the cyclist and was 100% at fault, but at this is PH and is full of cyclist hating s.....
Next vid pls.

I don't see how anyone can think he was looking down, look at his hand position on the hoods ffs.
Yeah, he's got the brakes on tight for 2 seconds before he hits the car, and his arms go out of the top corners of the frame, there's no way that's a helmet cam. The angle changes because he's leaning upright, clenching the saddle with his buttocks trying to stop.Edited by Twilkes on Monday 22 August 22:58

My breakdown;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-EWLFXR460
0:24 - looks to me like the dash cam car is lane hogging and the van undertakes out of frustration, not saying that the van drivers in the right at all; however the dash cam car moving into L1 to block the undertake is very stupid, especially as he then appears to meet merging traffic at speed.
0:48 - Audi just drives off - no attempt to slow down or even so much as check the carnage caused! How could you not notice that going on behind you?
1:08 - What a special case, me thinks a mandatory retest is in order for that particular driver.
2:32 - Dash cam car makes no attempt to go around the roundabout - 90% at fault - although if he was indicating I'll accept that the oncoming driver was in the wrong
4:09 - dash cam car should have anticipated this to be honest; then again I'm questioning if he should be in L3 at all.
4:30 - No idea what's going on here?
9:20 - to be fair, should the dash cam driver not be anticipating this? The driver pulling out can barely be blamed given the poor visibility caused by the queuing traffic.
10:03 - Polo driver is going a little too fast, that aside, the black car (who is parked on double yellows despite the obvious free spaces) is the root cause of this issue for causing a bottleneck - no doubt some self important numpty just "popping to the shops" and the van driver doesn't appear to be in an actual space either. Polo driver is not completely at fault. In fact I'd suggest that whichever came last between the black car and the van is the knob for causing an obstruction.
13:16 - The bus driver (who's indicating to get in the BUS LANE) isn't the knob here. It's the cyclists.
14:08 - why was this an issue, just slow down and let him in for god sake.

Put the dashcam in my family car for our recent holiday to Cornwall, mainly because I wanted to figure out why it wasn't recording everything so I could sit and fiddle with it whilst my Mrs was driving.
Caught this chap on our last day, heading back from Looe on a country road. Looks less frightening than it was, closing speeds were about 50mph (NSL).
Apologies for the language.
