Did that white Skyline not have ABS? So many fools on the road, reinforces the need to have the dashcam on for every journey.
I think it's an option on the R33 GTST, although that's a spec 2 spoiler and am trying to find if it was standard by then. My early spec 1 has ABS though...

Am I the only one suffering from dash cam xenophobia?

I find the foreign (esp. Russian) clips a bit repetitive - it's just car after car crashing into each other for no apparent reason.
No, I gave up on this thread a while ago (obviously, I've tried again!) because I just got so sick of endless clips of potato headed aggressive or pissed Russians driving like a horse had got behind the wheel.

Having said that, our local "talent" isn't much to write home about.

Loved that. Thanks MarkRSi I love these old motoring films. I think I will adopt this gentlemanly way of driving next time I need to overtake.

On a very childish note I laughed like a drain when he said "keep a close eye on the cyclist in case she wobbles." Utter filth.

Reminds me of:

A man on his own in a car
Is revenging himself on his wife;
He open the throttle and bubbles with dottle
And puffs at his pitiful life

She's losing her looks very fast,
She loses her temper all day;
That lorry won't let me get past,
This Mini is blocking my way.

"Why can't you step on it and shift her!
I can't go on crawling like this!
At breakfast she said that she wished I was dead-
Thank heavens we don't have to kiss.

"I'd like a nice blonde on my knee
And one who won't argue or nag.
Who dares to come hooting at me?
I only give way to a Jag.

"You're barmy or plastered, I'll pass you, you bd-
I will overtake you. I will!"
As he clenches his pipe, his moment is ripe
And the corner's accepting its kill.

The pass is achieved at very high speed,
"Don't be so rash man, I've got it on dashcam!"
Off through the weed, blood down the tweed,
and meat reminiscent of SPAM.

This is the reality of rented/twocced/lent cars in Bradford/Keighley

http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/1470827...

"AN UNINSURED driver caught speeding at more than 130mph on the Bingley bypass - believed to be the highest recorded by police on the road - has been disqualified from driving for two years.
Kahsam Farooq, 20, who was in a Volkswagen Golf R32, was caught during Operation Steerside, a crackdown on dangerous drivers in the Bradford district, at about 12.30am on May 16 this year...
When he was eventually stopped, Farooq told police the Golf was registered with a man at an address in Thornton, Bradford, and was insured to another man in Settle, North Yorkshire...
Convicting him in his absence of all three offences, they also ordered him to pay a total of £932, which included a £770 fine, £77 surcharge and £85 court costs..."

So basically he got away with it. A fine that he might eventually pay at £1 a month or something and they ban him from driving. He doesn't seem like the type that cares about a ban and will likely carry on driving regardless. I've no idea how you stop this kind of thing unfortunately.
There is a huge problem with young asian men showing off in rented/leased/borrowed fast cars and killing others or crashing, but no one wants to address it because it would be seen as racist.

Apologies if already posted or on another thread, but the Porsche Cayenne driver that nearly caused a head-on will face no further action from the Police at the moment:
http://www.driffieldtoday.co.uk/news/police-to-tak...

I don't think the Police's NFA decision really sends out the right sort of message.
