It's shared use: Google Maps Link

I must admit this did amuse me, but a rather daft thing to do all the same!

Sorry I didn't get it on cam but it wasn't worth posting a new thread

Yesterday I went out for an evening blast , came back through warrington, 2 lanes at the lights , I'm in the outside , corsa on the inside

Lights change I get a better start ,pull in front of the corsa and acellerate to 30

Nothing agressive I didn't cut him up , next thing he's right up my chuff, gets pi§Ed off because I've stuck to 30 , pulls out then passes me at 40, right in front of the speed camera which flashes twice

Gobsmacked doesn't cover it , what a plonker

Agreed completely - I try and do this whenever possible if making a mistake.
+1 common sense I'd have thought
Indeed, admit to your mistakes, if you can't admit to them then what kind of person are you? Simple gesture to say "sorry, that's me I fked up there" isn't hard.

As for hitting the horn I rarely do it, usually it is to prompt someone who has sat at green lights for longer than normal, usually on the phone, or today lobbing rubbish out of their car madmad other than that the last time I used it was on the motorway, 30% my fault 70% lorry fault, closed lane 1 off, I sat back and left a gap for the lorry, I then thought I saw that the lane wasn't coned off and the lorry was making no effort to move, so I moved into the gap and continued my overtake, only to realise it was just poorly coned off and the lorry had to move over, but I was now in his blind spot so I hit the horn hard to let everyone know st was about to go down, thankfully car to my right hit brakes and I moved over safely, lorry moved over safely.
I went past lorry, got a sorry wave, he got a hit of the hazards as a thank you, I pulled over and thanked the guy who saw our collective mistake, got a wave.

Really not hard.

I agree. I made a mistake the other day at the roundabout, held my hand up to apologise and I got a wave back as acknowledgement.

We all do that thing when walking in the street, both step left then right, then left...then we chuckle about it, don't we? Why when it comes to the roads many of us decide to st the bed, I don't know.

I couldn't agree more with this. I made a mistake the recently myself (I know, shocking!), cut up an Audi Q3 when changing lanes as he was in my blind spot. Initially you could tell he got the rage - drove close behind me, shaking his head etc. I held my hand up in apology, he acknowledged that by waving back, pulled back to a safe distance and we both got on with our day. I wish more people would take this approach.

That's not a cyclepath it's a footpath with bikes painted on it. Ok to ride along with the kids on a mountain bike maybe but not as stated already by a group riding at 20+mph.

I think we all know that isn't true! These paths are like a washboard on a road bike though.

Does it? As opposed to the 40+ mph road he could have used?

But that is not the question is it .....why were the bikes on the road when a cycle path was provided for THEIR safety at great cost to the tax payer ?

A34 south past Oxford isn't it? That can be a nightmare when busy.

Mostly because they are not safe and prevent a decent cyclist from making progress

In this case, as in many, £10 for a pot of white paint

So, you want perfect surfaces, go to a cycle track

Absolutely despise that road. It is full of fkwits that just sit in the outside lane preventing people from making progress. Also a fair bit of elephant racing adding to the whole experience.
