So should the cammer. He rammed a bus in retaliation to it overtaking him. He should be hung, drawn and quartered.

Why was the bus driver overtaking there in the first place? I'm assuming it was a 30mph zone, if so then the car driver was doing 27 mph which would be an indicated 30 on the speedo, imo bus driver should lose his licence for that.
The cammer that did 25-28 the whole journey, then sped up to 37 in order to block the overtake causing a crash with a bus that could have 52 unseatbelted passengers in it?

Do you own a dashcam?

It might have been answered, but what was the cam car? I assumed from the shape of the back window that it was a bloody suzuki wagon r or something but then all of a sudden it just takes off! Sounds decent, too.

Not me but this does my head in, people ignoring solid white lines, desperate to get on the motorway, only to sit there approaching everyone else waiting at the correct merge point. Just merge in turn and wait your turn ffs.
It's not like that van driver was a walking, talking stereotype or anything.

What a complete cocksocket. He piles on almost 10mph when the bus is offside and alongside him, almost hanging it out to dry in the face of an oncoming commercial vehicle, and is then surprised that it cuts back in to its own side of the road sharpish to avoid the head on? I'm more surprised that in the comments he insists the police told him it was fine to do 60mph in a 30mph because he 'had to' get the bus' details (which he already had on camera).

It's not just the bus driver who needs arresting for dangerous... The worst the bus driver did was overtake fully offside in an urban area at a crossing (bad enough), but the cammer went above and beyond that yet apparently gallops away on the high horse. Fair enough the bus driver is being judged in light of his 'professional standards' but just what does a cammer have to do to be reported, if baulking someone's overtake and doing double the limit in urban areas isn't it?
No, the bus is going for a head on regardless. Notice when the oncoming lorry stops. That's a school bus and the driver needs disqualifying.

You just know he's the type that wouldn't let anyone merge in front of him in any circumstance.

Yes, I could have eased off and let him in, but he could also have merged in behind/further in front of me or just carried on in his lane instead of trying to remove my front end! soapboxshoot
I'm afraid I'm going to say that looks typical dashcam driving, to me. Looks like you were in a heck of a rush to the back of that near-stationary queue.
Agree, inconsiderate ttish driving......typical dash-cam road lord
Agreed. The other guy made a stupid mistake but you responded in a very dangerous way which could have easily caused a crash.
Petrol head rich, what a fking prick
Well that was pointless wasn't it? Accelerating into danger to prove a point. Well done.
+1 with all the comments above. soon as I opened the video i knew that split second which vehicle the dashcammer was going to complain about. If you know for a good 20seconds what could happen why invite it then complain? even worse is that the dash cammer accelerates to get into their blind spot.

Absolutely, but as I said speeding up by 10mph when it's alongside and then doing double the limit to chase him was hardly clever. My only point was I'm surprised the cam car driver didn't get a slap on the wrists from BiB also.

Speed was fine until the bus/coac overtook the car and hit in in a built up area.

What was the PCV driving thinking, most people would speed to catch up and speak to the driver.

Cammers acceleration looked like panic attempt at getting out of way to me, and it was the lunatic bus driver who caused that panic.

Bus was legally entitled to travel maybe 3mph faster than it was before the overtake- so driver knew that his overtake would be suicidal unless either car slowed down, he substantially exceeded speed limit, or oncoming traffic took evasive action. He was not entitled to assume any of these- he appears to have assumed all of them.

Either way he needs to lose his job and license.

Why are people chastising the camera car exactly?

He was doing 26/27mph, there was a pedestrian crossing the street ahead moments before the coach decided to try and overtake.

What's more - this was A COACH FFS. The thought of overtaking anything in a coach unless on a motorway is nothing short of irrational. As said above - there was no way the coach would have made it without someone yielding, even if the camera car maintained a speed 4-5mph more it would have been close.

There's some real tw*ts around here sometimes.

Indeed, he does but anyone whose panicked reaction to someone else's is dumb manoeuvre is to accelerate (or panics while driving at all frankly) should probably consider handing their licence in as well. Your panic response should always be to stop, if you've not panicked and can think rationally about a different course of action which is more appropriate by all means do it, but if you panic - just stop.

Because he turned an ill conceived idea into an accident with the potential to cost lives, all because his ego was too fragile to allow someone else to get from A-to-B quicker than him.
