Car driver is looking to his right and waiting for a gap in the traffic. At this point the scooter is obscured by the A-pillar.

When he spots his gap (although it's not much of a gap!) he quickly pulls out and turns his attention to traffic coming from his left in the other lane. He is still looking to his left when he hits the scooter.

Not that hard to grasp so perhaps you were watching another clip.
The scooter didn't magically teleport there. [b]It crossed the muppet's entire field of vision beforehand[b/].
Yes it did, but his brain obviously didnt register it, he may have been looking right when it pulled up. Easy to sit here and replay those vids and pick it to pieces, if he didnt clock it when it pulled up, he may have been quickly scanning left and right for a gap to proceed, easy done as he has demonstrated it.

Thank you.

Isn't the human memory incredible?! I haven't travelled that road for anywhere between 15 and 20 years and even when I did I was a mere boy and trips were infrequent, yet I saw the first frame of your video (which, let's face it, could be any road in rural England) and felt instant recognition.

Have you ever experienced the duck crossing just round the bend from there? Has cost us time on more than one occasion.
Sorry, not my video. But as you I recognised the corner. The big white ducks I do know, but I must say I've not fallen fowl wink of them recently.

Also do enjoy a splash through the Ford (next left) but haven't had cause to go through there for a while either.

Standford Mill is just round the corner by the ford.
This corner has had more than it's fair share of accidents. usually when icy!
They have about twenty geese that wander in the road here and stop all the traffic smile

You might need to explain what was funny about that man nearly being hit by that car as I must have missed it.

Why did that biker brake test the car? It was only ever going to go one way for him - badly!

Why would a BIKER brake check someone?! Who did he think would come off worse if the bloke behind couldnt stop?

Lighten up smile The 'nearly' means it can be disregarded. Pretty sure my powers don't extend to changing the past.

The funny part was the car (Lada?) trying to pull across the driver.

i see a lot of 4x4 drivers driving like knobs this time of year, they think 4x4 makes them invincible.
A phrase that has stuck with me is: '4x4 helps you go, it doesn't help you stop'

this rings true this time of year when the roads get bad.

One of my own videos from earlier today.

I added some music.

Driver from a few cars back assumes we are all stopped waiting for Christmas?

Did it hit him, or did the car just avoid? Hard to tell.
