Would a car driver have been a cock if he was suddenly faced with a vehicle completely on his side of the road before he arrived at a bend?

WTF is a 'shared road' ? This looked like a typical public road, with a car on completely the wrong side of it.
Here, have a pedant sticker!

You know what he means by shared road and if you don't, here have a retard sticker as well.

Going too fast to stop? Yes.

Able to stop in time? No.

rofl WTF is that?

If the car had been positioned as per your Etch-A-Sketch *thing* the cyclists would easily have passed on the correct side.

You've never ridden anything, have you?

Presumably because bin lorry is completely blocking the road? Still a really stupid thing to do- wait or go another way!
Normally it's parked cars blocking the road while the bin lorry just goes about it's business.

One lady in the car, who survived.
Yeah, you can find quite a bit of info about it. She was badly injured but survived I can't recall if there were kids in the car, I think not.

I think the other truckers did well to not make the collision bigger than it needed to be.

You know, if I were in a pub and we were in this conversation, with you talking like that I would just walk away thinking "what a rude dhead"

I did my "etch-a-sketch" so all could see the original image had not been tampered with....grow up

When you get to my age you don't have to grow up...

If the car had been positioned even remotely as per the Etch-A-Sketch there wouldn't have been an incident.

True enough. I was not intending to suggest that bin lorry should not be there- just pointing out that bin lorry staff will see unusual amount of idiots driving dangerously to get past because road is blocked at the point where they are working.

I think before this continues to get out of hand lets consider another circumstance..

Firstly lets ignore the car and it's poor positioning which I agree is a bit straight liny..

Right imagine a large combine harvester is coming up the road with it's right wheel virtually in the ditch. It's left wheel woudl be about 2/3 foot onto the wrong side of the road and it would be travelling slowly, probably slower than the car...

Any road user confronting this, and I have were we live in the countryside.. would have a nightmare. Most cars maybe able to stop..just I'd be interested to see if the cyclists would stop. I think the answer would be a fairly unanimous...no as they are travelling way to fast..

This is the issue I have with cyclists going way to fast downhill and they use the whole road like a large truck.. but they really can't stop quick at all.

I think what I'm trying to say is while the car driver is poorly positioned, and yes in the wrong. I see the bigger wrongdoers as the cyclists basically hurtling down as a large pack.

I reality we can't really comment form a crappy low res video as the wide angles of the lense can make things appear very different to reality, often things look to be going quicker than real life, (maybe the cyclists were going slowly, lean angle suggests no) and maybe the car was more over than we thought either way...

I think what we can say is it won't be the first or the last time a bunch of cyclists going round a bend hit a car or stopped object because they just can't manoeuvre or stop..

1) WTF has that got to do with cyclists riding like they own the road? Hardly takes an IAM steering wheel shuffling wker to see they were traveling far too quickly to be able to stop.
2) What makes you think you know my personal driving history? FWIW you are wrong, but that should come as no surprise to anyone.

Other than the fact that they were on their own side of the road and completely within the law you mean?

It surprises me because if you understood anything about advanced driving/riding you'd have known that.

How about a video!! Nothing major, just a silly little lady in a Fiesta being aggressive for the traffic being slow.
