The classic - Maserati Quattroporte II (approx 13 built)
Another classic - Mercedes 190 Brabus 3.6 (approx 2 built) Guy on here has one, the lucky bugger!
The summer wheels - BMW Z1 Alpina RLE (approx 66 built)
The hot rod - Mercedes W202 C55 AMG (approx 59 built - 29 in RHD)
Nice selection (sorry, I've purposely omitted the SUV ). The RLE appeals for all sorts of reasons, but none moreso than having unique wheel-badgesAnother classic - Mercedes 190 Brabus 3.6 (approx 2 built) Guy on here has one, the lucky bugger!

Love this Leins; only 61 made and 260bhp from the tweaked M30 engine, although I would happily settle for a B6 3.5 with 218 made, much more sleeper .Although nothing like some of the exotica on here I discovered, waited for and eventually bought my Holy Grail car.
A forum thread began in 2001 asking if any Alpina B10 4.6 Touring cars were ever made; with a 340 bhp, 355lb/ft engine it was a good comparison to the E34 M5 Touring at 340bhp - 295lb/ft and just 20bhp and 29lb/ft down on the legendary Alpina B10 BiTurbo.
I became interested when some geek trawled through the chassis numbers to discover there were just 46 Alpina B10 4.6 cars ever made, 27 saloons all in lhd, and 19 Tourings, all in lhd except one......
Back when an E34 M5 Touring was the toy to have the only complaint was that they were only made in lhd, and likewise a B10 BiTurbo was lhd and never made as Touring. The rhd B10 4.6 Touring had never been seen, spotted or written about but I promised myself I would try and buy it should it ever surface. In July 2011 it was briefly spotted but disappeared just as quickly before suddenly being offered for sale in November the same year. I bought it unseen within a week and began its cosmetic restoration.
They say you should should never drive your heroes but quite honestly the car is brilliant and I can't ever see myself selling it; it keeps many a modern car very honest but also has the fabulous E34 quality and design.
Pictures are with thanks to BMWCar magazine who featured it a few years ago.....
Having been a Renault fan for the last 15 years, I've always wanted to get my hand on a Renault 5 Turbo. Unfortunately (and understandably) they go for quite a lot of money which I can't justify on this type of car...
Admittedly various super/hyper cars are what I would consider Holy Grail cars. From Ferrari F40s to McLaren SLRs I'd have a collection if I could afford one.
In reality, I managed to get myself a more humble Holy Grail motor in the form of a Mercedes CLS63 which I'm still smitten with!

I've not long had my holy grail car and there are only about 50 roadworthy in the UK and maybe 300 worldwide left. It's pretty much rust free too and ready to be made into the car I really want
My father used to have a Daimler V12 coupe. Not as rare as the Jag I don't think but still made in very small numbers.

Next up, the stillborn GM rotary "Corvette". Again, only one still exists. I was lucky enough to see it once, although I only had my phone so apologies for the shoddy pics. Even without the proposed GM three-rotor and with a wheezy Mazda 12A, it still gives me profound tumescence
If you fancy seeing that again, it's parked fairly permanently at Claremont Corvette in Snodland, Kent. Looks pretty cool...Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
