Hi

Staying in Budapest Mid July, Tues 19th, for one night.

Looking for a nice hotel with a good location.

Asked here before for Barcelona - and you guys were spot on!

thanks

Intercontinental. Right on the river near the Chain Bridge and everything else.

I travel every month to Budapest for work and usually stay at the Hilton Buda Castle. Stunning views over the Danube to the Parliament Building and a nice area in itself to walk around - but away from the central nightlife - so depends what you want.

Can second this suggestion - stayed there a few years ago, nice hotel (as are all K&K I've stayed in worldwide) and good location, easy to walk to the main tourist sights.

I've stayed here. Thought it was ok, but nothing special.

Location and price was the best bits.

I have stayed in the Marriott Hotel several times, always taken one of their executive rooms. They have their own floor, and also a dedicated breakfast area and lounge/bar. Right by the river, great views, central etc.

I can't help with the accommodation but the Holocaust Memorial Centre is the most harrowing place I've ever been to.

Another thumbs up for the Corinthia, one of best hotels we ever stayed in. Booked their hotel Mercedes to pick us from the airport for a silly price.
