At least he's prepared to try them. Infinitely better placed to comment than someone who hasn't.

punch
"Hello sir, I'm giving out samples of Chlamydia, would you like to try one?"

Just because one or two people who have lived with Chlamydia for most of their live say that they aren't too bad when wet, doesn't mean the rest of us should either believe them or try.

Then again you are an independant tyre seller, amiright.

Because the brand's own website says they don't exist.

Edit: But they're on eBay... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301859455959

Lets take it in perspective.
A quick google shows Nexen OEM supply as below..

"The tyre will be standard equipment for the Renault 'Twingo' and the Smart 'Forfour', which were co-developed by Renault and Daimler AG.

The N'blue Premium is an eco-friendly tyre with improved fuel efficiency...." blah blah blah.

It lists VW, Seat, Skoda, so I imagine they are the Up exclamation mark, Whatever the Seat version of the Up explanation mark is, and the sttygo.

Davanti get good review, better than Nexen. Not good enough.
Guy fits on his car. Questioned if true, even after posting photo.
Nexen are OEM. Questioned and still not good enough, it's only small cars- doesn't count.

There's clearly nothing which will satisfy some people, short of Mercedes sticking them on every C Class in Europe.

But the flip is all the naysayers perpetuating this thread have succeeded in keeping Davanti at the top of the page, people can now see evidence of positive reviews, see real people buying their tyres and see photos of their vans out on the road.

As a cheap marketing exercise (if that's what is was/is) I'd call that a resounding success.

What's the standard tread depth? They look very shallow for just a few days wear.

I believe around 8mm is the depth of a New Tyre, done around 20 miles on them so 7.9999% remaining depending on how you drive.

That is an expensive, powerful and capable car. I can't tell what it is but it's presumably at least a 530, probably a 535 given the high spec (Surround View, nice) so it's what, at least 300bhp?

Quite why you'd be desperate enough to save a few quid a corner on tyres when you've got one of those eludes me. Ah well, as long as you are happy.

That's the bit I don't understand. I'm not against budget tyres. Never have been hell I've even got 4 brand new Nexens on the crv. And they are ok.

Wives shopping car yeah why not. 30k bmw. Why, there are so many great not very much more expensive fantastic tyres out there.

I'm not desperate at all and why am I saving a few quid on the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 ( I was going to Buy but not got my size in stock yet )when I could buy the Michelin Sports or conti 5's or 6's whatever the number they are up to.

Now unless you think the Michelins or continentals are worth over twice the price of the Goodyear's that is what eludes me and depends if you drive your car like you stole it or like me drive it sensible.

It is indeed a 535D SE but has a few extras that I can think of

If I don't like the Davanti tyres its not the end of the world, but I need to give it a few months at least to see how they perform in all weather conditions.
