Focus RS or Mustang V8?

The FRS for me easily, but I'd take the V8 Mustang if I lived in the US. They just always seem out of place to me in England.
I never get this kind of thought. Surely you want to drive something different and special. There's no car I would not drive in the UK. If I could I would be driving a Suburban around.Truckosaurus said:
The review of the Mustang in the latest EVO magazine isn't wholly complementary.
This one didn't seem too bad to me?http://www.evo.co.uk/ford/mustang

Having had a new Mustang now for 3 weeks I would say go test drive one and see if it would fit your lifestyle.
I use mine as a daily driver and not had an issue with it, its just as comfy sat it traffic on the M61 as it is on twisty roads, granted the weather hasn't been good enough to actually open it up on a spirited drive as yet but as a daily car it works perfectly for me.
Yes there are only 2 doors, and yes it's thirsty (currently averaging 20mpg) but it's so different to everything else on the road currently and really does have a presence.
If you want a car which will make you smile just walking upto it then its got to be a Mustang.
I have been a fan of fast focus for a while, never owned one but have had friends who loved them and yes they are lovely cars, but I can tell you now that 2 friends who are coming from fast focus are a lot more interested in Mustang than the FRS, one states it's because he is bored of the looks and wants something different and the other wants to own a big V8. I was rather surprised they were not even interested in the FRS.
But its horses for courses (pun intended!) get whatever ticks all of your boxes and enjoy your new steed
but for reference here is a pic!

I would choose the mustang v8 all day. I think it has some amazing looks which stands out from the dross on the roads these days, and at its price point nothing compares.
I don't mind the RS but i think its lost that special something since the first model which was a limited production run.
To be honest ford at the moment seem to be having a fantastic time producing lovely petrol head cars at the moment what with the GT being produced as well. I cant think of another manufacturer who can currently compete.

The Mustang for me without question, if I could afford one I'd get one. I'm sure the Focus is faster but what's the point? They're both pointlessly quick for the road and the Mustang would have huge feel good factor whereas the Focus will just feel like a Focus most of the time. Also I have a strange and compulsive liking for large V8s and no turbo four can ever match up no matter it's output.

To me, the Mustang is an inherently American car like all muscle cars, and a big part of its allure is its connection with the US. When its on Route 66 it's an awesome slice of classic Americana, when it's on the A12 its just a wannabe cowboy car. I love muscle cars, they contributed to me buying my Focus ST in a weird way. I just wish Ford hadn't decided to Make Mustangs a global car. Maybe 'Probe' would have been a better name...

Mustang for me - I'd be tempted if I didn't have to wait months to get one after ordering it.
There is a list of available cars and you can be in a Mustang within a week if you go for one of these hope it helps
