iPhone 5 Battery Replacement
Discussion
I bought a battery for my Nexus 5 from https://www.replacebase.co.uk/ and can't fault it.
They advertise genuine Apple batteries + tools and I've no reason to doubt them.

A lot of iPhone 5 are eligible for free replacement under the "iPhone 5 battery replacement program" because there was a fault with them.
Google it, go to apple website, enter details and if eligible it will tell you what to do from there.
My wife's was one of the very first 5's. Battery became virtually useless a few months back and they arranged a replacement phone through the local Apple service agent.

Time is up for that I think.... Had to be within 3 years of purchase and they only affected phones sold between Sept 2012 and Jan 2013http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Easier than I expected
But beware the small spring loaded screws that hold the connector in place
Be sure to undo them in such a way that they can't spring off and be lost (easily done)

iPhone 5 battery replacement is straightforward especially if you use the excellent guide on ifixit. There is one thing to be aware of; the battery can sometimes be difficult to remove (it is glued in) and the removal tab can break. You can pry it out but ONLY from the places recommended in the guide. There is a very fragile chip close to the battery and if you damage it you pretty much ruin the phone. And yes, I am speaking from experience...!
