you mean like all them UK right hand drive trucks in Europe?
Have you driven in Europe much?
Yes.
I spend about 300 days per year travelling in Europe, North America and Asia. In fact my car is sat in a German airport waiting for me to get back.

My opinion of not seeing so many UK trucks was simply based on the fact that they quickly dispurce after leaving the ferry ports and so then seem few and far between.
But I bow to your in depth knowledge.

Insist on all tyres being replaced too, they'll have some lovely flat spots especially the o/s front and rear.

I already said that to the repair company. Thanks.

I just heard back from the garage, and they are going to repair it.

And there's a Citroen Cactus on its way to me as a courtesy car.

This happened just in front of me a few years ago... UK truck pulled out and pushed a young polish family along sideways for a good few hundred metres before he realised! There was a young baby in the car and I had to stop the father attacking the UK truck driver when it all came to a stop! Not a nice situation but accidents can happen both ways... The truck driver had been driving for 30 years and never had an accident, that was of little consolation to the rather irate polish man.
You must surely have the nationalities the wrong way around...
Nope, UK truckers make mistakes too.

That's worse than having the crash in the first place. hehe

It's a RenaultSport Megane 250, not a Hyundai wink
So you're still talking about nearly 30k of car when new. Value at the 3 year point of the accident was about 16k or thereabouts.

Hire costs and repair costs combined were about equal to the value of the car. It was the roof liner that was the problem part. Renault didn't have any in the UK and the normal Megane Coupe has a beige one, while the RS model is grey/black. Took from November until April to get my car back.
I'm surprised that availability of parts is not confirmed before going ahead with a repair, seems like a no-brainer, especially when hire cars are involved.

Frankly, I'd rather eat my own testicles than be seen in this thing.

"Hello, Renault UK? Is this available?"
"Yep, it's showing as available, but not in stock. No lead time's shown."
