107.9p at the Shell on Regent Street (near the Playhouse) in the early hours of this morning. I'm going through a tank a week. Big jump compared to my lpg converted VR4!

Thats a decent price. Is it worth the 3p extra compared to momentum99?

No idea, I've only ever used V Power. Previous car was mapped for higher ron fuel (seperate ecu/map for LPG) and I only ever used V Power. Previous owner of my current car swore by V Power and I'm sticking with it.

Past couple of fills have been normal Shell Unleaded as money is a bit tight this month so I haven't noticed the price up in Central Scotland but I will check it next time I'm there.

I had exactly the same experience last week at the shell garage in Isleworth West London.

Regular 101.9

v power is normally 8-9 p more per litre start filling up and notice it's 115!!

I only put in half a tank I was so pissed off. Sounds to me like profiteering

Yup, forgot to include the price of regular unleaded (99.9). Don't understand how both the Shell on Kirkstall Rd and Horsforth get away with charging 2p more a litre for both in comparison.

The ISF is great fun thanks. A tad thirstier than I hope for though but my commute is 3 miles each way and I nip home at lunchtimes. Pure urban driving was never going to result in decent fuel economy though!

110.9 per litre at the Bawtry Road Shell in Donny, makes no sense as standard is 99.9

I fill up with Sainsburys Super all the time. I tend to think it's reasonably priced.

The M3 is very sensitive to super and normal. Definitely no placebo!!!

I was under the impression all super unleaded was like this so I was quite pleased to see the Esso stuff at only 3p more a litre the other day.

For the first time in my ownership I was able to brim a tank and the cost started with a 6.

Shell VPower and Tesco Super are the same fuel, and come from the same tank and are the same blend.
NO difference apart from price (i.e. Tesco usually around 4ppL cheaper)

Stay away from Morrison's fuel as it's the most basic fuel in the country, still the same price as most forecourt 95RON fuels but carries a larger margin for Morrison's.

I've yet to feel any difference between V Power and Momentum and the cost difference here is 4p, so I generally go to Tesco.
This!

Momentum is a fair amount cheaper than Vpower, that and the fact there are literally no shell garages in Coventry.

Filled up with V power in Wakey other day, 109.9 it was against 101.9 for regular.. So 8p more. My local one at Garforth was 11p more when I filled up my lasses car a couple of days before ( that takes regular at that much extra)

Petrol pecking order for the turb

Shell V power nitro plus
Esso SUL
Gulf SUL
Momentum

Esso SUL is very good, prefer Shell for the other added benefits but Esso runs it close.

All that jazz said:
I usually stick V-Power in my Focus ST as it makes it a bit more responsive and nicer to drive but just went to fill up now at Shell at Morley, Leeds and it's 120.9 whereas normal unleaded is 102.9 !! For as long as I can remember there's always been about 7-9ppl difference between the two so why is it suddenly 18ppl? yikes

fk the responsiveness! It's getting normal unleaded in til the price comes back down!!

Is it roughly the same price difference in your areas too?
Probably not a Shell owned site then... Eurogarages I would guess. Shell and Bp have sold off most of their sites.
My local Shell station was always the cheapest around until EG took over and now is the most expensive

I've honestly never noticed a difference, although I think I've only ever used Shell or Esso purely due to the stations on my regular routes.

Tesco pay Shell to sell V Power as their own.
The same fuel, from the same tank is loaded onto the Tesco and Shell tankers at Stanlow in Ellesmere Port.

Not sure if either parties would want this to be common knowledge.
