Does anyone have a car they dont need?
Discussion
We have four cars between the two of us and to be honest, living in the centre of a large town with excellent bus services, an inter-city railway station a little over a mile away and four car hire offices within walking distance, no, we don't need any of them - but when did common sense ever influence man maths and car ownership?

Bloody hell everyone on this forum seems to own a few cars lol you must all be rich as hell.
Or broke from having so many cars.
No!! Not rich at all!! Just saved and saved for my first toy at 21 (vx220) sold that saved a bit more and bought a Caterham then recently sold that and bough the AMG.Or broke from having so many cars.
I hate borrowing money so I just save what I can when I can. I have a little lad now so he's main attention but the toy will always stay and the money I have in the car will always be for some sort of weekend play thing.
I have a 2007 Mazda 3 Sport petrol that is used to do my daily 50 mile round trip commute. It's also used for social stuff when needed at the weekends. My fiancée has a 2003 Polo that we use at the weekends. Her parents use it in the week as she is currently unable to drive due to the DVLA withholding her licence on medical grounds.
I would like another car. Something with a 'v' engine in preferably. However, due to having a child, my fiancée isn't working at the moment. I'm saving money and could get something soon, but being the sole worker, this has stopped me from getting anything else for now.

Yes & it's rather annoying.
I have my deceased FiL's 1995 Jaguar Sovereign 3.2 with a mere 57k from new.
Problem is it needs paintwork, no rust, he just couldn't park it & had boot respected in wrong shade of blue, headlining sags & rear bushes sound like the local junior school drum class when it's driven but we love it!!
Passes MOT every year & currently SORN & sitting on my drive in the way.

Erm I think we have to many vehicles. For work it's a tipper Lorry or a Toyota pick up. Wife has a Kangoo and. Smart brabus. I have 3 fiat coupes in varying forms. Oh and a camper van.
Something will have to go soon as I have a hankering for a z4 .
I get pleasure from them all including the work trucks which are used most. I can only drive one at a time so fuel is not a problem,it's just insurance and maintenance that hurts at times.

I have 5 cars, could say I dont need 4 of them, expecially being due to being 21 so cant insure them all.
Range Rover td6 is the only one I "need" due to towing trailers.

I don't really need 3 cars. Train for work, good London local provisions etc.
Occasionally use the Z4MC for a sprint up north to see family.
The XJR has been hibernating in a friends underground parking space since last summer.
Was thinking of divorcing the old girl, but having visited her today, I really can't bring myself to do it....

Did the most sensible thing and sold the only car that I really use. It was our company van that
didn't need anything and will be replaced by something in better nick.
That left me with one normal car, three weekend cars and seven bikes that do 3k miles combined.
May get rid of one bike to buy a cheap barge, but still undecided.

I have 2 cars (was 3 but just sold 1 of them) and a van. I don't need anything more than the van really, as it gets me around cheaply and the dogs just hop in the back. I have a pair of old BMW, that I certainly don't need, but wouldn't be without. I consider myself as being really lucky to have cars that I've wanted most of my life. I drove a white 2002 as a 20 something, when most people saw an old banger, but now I'm nigh on 50 it's a time machine that takes me back the moment I open the door. The E30 was something I read about in magazines and day dreamed about. I stood around a chilly Brands Hatch pit lane, just to get a glimpse of the Vic Lee race cars. Now I own my very own and get to play touring car driver. Bottom line is life's too short to only have things you need.
