I regularly go through the phase of thinking 'why' about one if not both of my cars.
The TVR gets about 1k use a year but every one of those miles puts a smile on my face, although I am thinking of changing it for something equally as pointless.
The Type R 'daily' doesn't do a great deal more as I cycle to work unless it's raining, pretty sure a raincoat and some mudguards would be cheaper than the Type R running costs but what would I polish at the weekends? hehe

I also had an EP3 as a do all car (it suited my needs perfectly) It also had a noisy input shaft bearing meaning it was a little louder to drive than it should have been (an annoying rumble). With a bit of a heavy heart, I sold it a few months ago, it just didn't seem as good as the one I owned years ago. It caused me absolutely no issues again though but I am in the extremely fortunate position of owning a more comfortable car for long distances, a more fun car for weekends (like you), I also cycle to work as it's only 2-3 miles and almost seems worse for the car than leaving it sitting (except on extremely bad days, like you!).

Once it's gone (the last couple of cars I have sold) I am not that bothered. I guess that means it was the right decision.

Perhaps you could sell it and get something also fun for weekends to polish but not as hardcore as your TVR. Perhaps a 2002-2005 MR2?

Wtf is going on here these days for moronic comments like this to be posted about another PH-er's cars?!!
He is just a troll. Pretty sure he wouldn't make that comment f2f. No normal person would.
A quick glance at his previous posts confirms cock status.

I don't really need any of the cars I have. Just have them. The Forester STI just sits there. Checked the other day and its only done 400 miles in 6 months. And that is including driving back from Wales when I bought it. Nice to have though. If it wasn't cars, the money would only get wasted on something else. Cushions or soft furnishings for Mrs MDMA.

The EP3 works great as a tool to take my bike to interesting places to ride (which is usually once a fortnight), it's the 1st hatchback I've had as a daily for a while, following the Boxster and the E36 coupe it's just sooooo practical. rotate
The TVR is on borrowed time, if my garage was 6 inches bigger an Aston Vantage would be in there (currently house hunting to find a bigger garage paperbag ) it's looking much more like something Lotus shaped or maybe a Tamora, it'll be nice to polish a different shape. rotate

Bloody hell everyone on this forum seems to own a few cars lol you must all be rich as hell.

Or broke from having so many cars.
I have eight cars (although 2 are scrappers that I can't be arsed to shift) and really I only need one car. None are financed nor ever have been. My mate says I must be wealthy because I have a race car and a couple of classics, truth is that I would be wealthy if I didn't have a race car and a couple of classics.
One thing I would say is don't put yourself in debt for a toy you don't need.

I cycle/tube to work, and have everything/everyone I need within either a public transport journey or 15min walk from my front door.

Therefore I've just bought a V8, for frivolous fun.

three here... one awaiting restoration (now been sat for four years), one I couldn't be without coz at my age it's more fun than sex, and one to take rubbish to the tip, park/leave wherever, and generally get abused. Oh and its got four seats smile
