Word is that this is in fact the 991 R mule in GT3 disguise.
Very unlikely. The 911R testing vehicle is much further along already. Unlike the pictured car it has no GT3 wing and a quite elaborate diffusor below the silencer.

As opposed to Merc and an AMG version of every model, if its that boring why read it and comment?

Surely this will knock the current GT3 premiums though?
My heart bleeds purple piss for all those who bought the last 991 GT3 as an investment.

I'm more excited about the 911 R, for sure. As much as I've always loved Porsches GT range.
Personally I am excited and hope that enthusiast can get there hands on gt Porsches. Seeing a car as an investment isn't smart. We all know this is a bubble we are living in just nobody knows when it'll pop

Oh go on then, I'll nibble...

Imagine there was entire sections of a car forum on the internet dedicated to marques, other than Porsche, does that sound like something you might be interested in?

Pretty much every automotive publication, online or print is required to mention Porsche in no less than 1 out of every 5 articles. I thought everybody had figured that out by now.

This does seem a pretty weak article, spy shots of a car that may be the next gt3, with some guesswork about the engine and possible looks.

I did read it, I have driven a 991.2, I liked it, I also like PDK gearboxes and I am not a speculator. But I suppose you are right, its probably crap and will just be purchased by badge snobs, best I get mine up on the classifieds now before the market is flooded and maybe treat myself to an A class AMG.

Based on recent history, I suppose also a swansong RS with capacity of 4.0 or a little more.

Don't waste your time with the A45 AMG, had one for 15 months and couldn't wait to get shot of it due to the crap gearbox, that is unless you like a car that when pulling away from a junction etc If you don't mind waiting a couple of minutes for the car to realise you actually want to move. So it's either flat out or nothing!
