meh. I had a mate with one. He lived in Chelsea, and was on first name terms with all the recovery specialists in the area. I used to go to shows with him, and I have personally rescued wing mirrors and various bits and bobs. I once had to get him home by driving for ten miles, swapping batteries over, driving another ten miles, another battery swap etc. etc.

Lovely sound though.

Here's a thought: Monaro/VXR8? - simple, basic, grunty and reliable. Nothing like an Exige though. Good for going sideways out of roundabouts, so I'd be right at home.

McLaren: too f*ckin expensive
Evora: see above
911: engine in wrong place. hate 'em.
TVR: too old, soft top, break down all the time
Z4: quite possibly the ugliest sports car in the world (to be said in a Clarkson voice)
Ultima: great on track, crap off it.
Ginetta: see above
Alfa 4C: too expensive (and Clarkson was lying)
Noble: aha... maybe we have something here.
Aren't Noble's even more unreliable than TVR's?

I've only ever seen three Nobles in real life. Two were stuck at the side of roads with hazards on and someone fiddling in the engine bay. One was at a car show.

Indeed! Easier to get in, but when in tighter than an Exige.

They were probably turning the boost down to let the others catch up.
The one at the show took the place of Kelly Brook who didn't turn up.

From what I’ve seen you can do a fair bit to make them a better fit.
The one I have lined up has the padding removed from the seat for headroom, and a steering column extension as the owner is 6’3’’.
When I pick it up I shall be installing a Tillett B5 seat mounted directly to the floor and probably a 50mm steering column spacer with a smaller (300mm) steering wheel.

Also worth a look http://www.britishspeed.com/forum/showthread.php?8...
Interesting.

I'm exactly the same height as you. Many years ago I tried a S1 Elise. I had issues getting in, nothing compared to getting out though! I ended up rolling out and ended up on all fours on the dealership floor. Not a good sight biggrin. In light of that I dismissed ever looking at them again.

I'm really keen to get back into track days, but I wouldn't need it as an everyday car. This could well be the solution.

Hahah - well said.

Noble's are reliable cars but don't sound as epic at TVRs - my friend's T350 is truly a symphony

Funny enough , although purely subjective I'd pick the note of. Pre-cat Griff, or a decatted AJP8 over the six cylinder noise.
Had 4 new TVRs and 2 used Nobles.Longest I kept any TVR was 3 years ... I've had my M400 nine and counting, doing more miles in this than the other 5 cars combined.I will be buried with it, of that I've no doubt.
They took over where TVR left off and moved the game on.Either way doubt the OP would be dissapointed in either brand.

I agree the T350 is absolute visual and acoustic porn.

So.... how reliable are these T350 models?
