in all honesty, the e-type looks like a boat crossed with a banana and then someone stretched out the bonnet to 25x the length of the cabin. I don't see what there is to like!

I'm going to go out on a limb and be controversial but I never really understood the hype over the Ferrari Daytona, the pop up light version is a bit better and the convertible looks ok with the roof down, but to me it looks like the bd child of a Rover SD1 and a Capri...

Think you'll find the unmarried father predated both. I'm no Ferrari fan but I do like it for being different to its siblings but that may be down to the Matchbox one I had as a kid.

Those Cactus things from Citroen - I just can't believe anyone would like them! and (being as we're talking Marmite Cars), one of my favourite designs (yes, going back many years) the Jensen CV8

I'm only kidding. That's not an EType shape I've liked either.

I like the Nissan Juke.

I LOVE the Juke RS.

Really dont know why, its a tall, sloppy SUV. But I just love the big spots at the front, the reasonable hot hatch performance, the alfa style backdoors with handles in the rear wing. The only thing I really loath about it is the fact they pair the AWD option with compulsory CVT box, although the diff on the FWD is meant to be OK. Also there is the undeniable advantage of height when real world hooning on the road.

As muchas its very unPH of me to say this but if I had £12-15k and needed a reliable motor for commuting this is what I would get. It pains me even more the fact that my grandparents are currently looking at one to replace their focus since my gran wants something easier to get in biggrin

As for a HATE. Subaru's. All of them. May aswell hand in my PH card now. After owning one I just cant see the appeal, 10year old tech with a stupid engine design which serves no purpose in a medium sized saloon, also dont like the noise they make past 3000rpm or so, either sounds like a diesel or Chewbacca farting depending on the exhaust. Every one ive driven (to be fair all 3 where old ropey ones and none of them STIs) feels numb, fast but you dont feel like your going fast which entirely ruins the fun for me. Also doing maintenance on them, I would rather open the bonnet of a 2015 merc than a 2005 skooby, and least the mountains of kit in that will be meaningfully laid out.

Agree on this one, it has to be a convertible or no dice. The high roof line of the hard top just ruins the body completely. Especially evident in rear 3/4 shots.
Same for me, the early convertible looks lovely but the 2+2 is awful

Looks like they had to raise the roof high enough to give any headroom in the back, with unhappy results.

I seem to like marmite cars, have just purchased an SRT-6. The Crossfire styling seems to produce very different opinions.
The pictures also shows how cars can change from their prototype, and considering it was Chrysler's replacement for the Prowler it is very different.

Prototype:

That looks bloody lovely. What are they lik to own? I know nothing about them.
Only just got it so can't give a really honest answer other than all the Chrysler Crossfires are the Mercedes SLK chassis and running gear. The SRT was given bigger brakes, stiffer suspension and more importantly an AMG supercharger taking the 3.2 V6 to a claimed 330hp and a 0-60 of 4.8 seconds. They were hand built in the AMG factory in Germany, but given the Chrysler designed body. They seem to get a good write up, I also loved the looks.
Thanks. They sound interesting.

I liked them years ago and pretty much forgot they existed until now.

RE: the E-Type.

I don't think they come across well in photos. They seem a little bulbous and out of proportion if the shot isn't at exactly the right angle.

In the metal though, I can't stop gawping at them! The 4.2 is the sweet spot for me. I think it came with slightly wider tyres than the 3.8, which just snatches it in the looks department.

Two marmite cars I actually rather like are the Skoda Roomster and Yeti

The Yeti maybe not so much "marmite" I really like them, sell really well too

The Roomster on the other hand is very "marmite" I do like them and they still sell OK

I was offered one of these today from a main dealer that had taken it in part ex

2014 Chrysler Ypsilon 1.2... I had to Google it to see what it was yikes

another fan here - had 2 (not SRT unfortunately frown) great tourer rather than a sports car. Very 'friendly' to drive

Also fancied an RCZ

Didn't like my mk1 TT 225

I think the Volvo C30 is a great piece of car design. My family think it's awful and have offered to make an appointment at Spec Savers.

I also think the Nissan Juke is one of the ugliest pieces of garbage currently on sale but I have friends who love theirs so they must rate the styling.

Beat me with a stick of celery if you must, but if I had the cash and my kids were a bit older I'd be all over one of these....

However, I can not understand why everyone get's a sweat on for these. Sure, they're a great design but far from God's greatest creation on 4 wheels.

The irony is strong in this one - liking the Panamera but not the E-Type...I think you need hitting with something rather weightier and more robust than a stick of celery.

Nissan cube, love it.
As much as it pains me to agree with him I do to too.

They are daft little boxes and I love 'em. Its almost like designers in Nissan thought "Bland Eurobox? Pah Audi et Al, WE'LL show you how to do bland euro boxes" but actually ended up making something quite funky by mistake.
