Talking of signage, last Friday I joined the M3 down from the M25, and of course that's all 50 at the moment.
Eventually, after an eternity in the restricted stretch I passed a large board on the left with the text 'Variable Speed Limit Ends' and a large NSL roundel. Seeing the NSL symbol I started to get back to 70, only to see another 50 sign on the barrier and slow down rather quickly. Not long after that there was an NSL sign on the centre barrier.

I believe the sign I saw was actually one that had just been installed, and is probably part of the so-called 'smart motorway' signage. 'Variable Speed Limit Ends' doesn't sound like it relates to the 50 limit. Even so, if a rather large NSL sign is displayed within an average 50 zone that's a bit confusing...

The average speed cams on the m60 / m62 from Manchester to Leeds work! I got a ticket in the post was between junction 18 and 20 just before it becomes the 62. Also see the cameras flash fairly often, I don't go over 52 in that section anymore.

Was caught at 60mph from memory.

I recall seeing somewhere that the road sign of Roadworks END is the same as a NSL limit sign, whre a NSL sign is not visible

The A6 from Lancaster to Preston had its limit reduced from NSL to 50mph a couple of years ago but this NSL sign has been missed during the signage change and left up.

If the last sign you've seen is NSL I don't see how anything else can be legally enforced.

Looking further down that road, on entry from a junction there is no indication of any speed limit, NSL or otherwise, odd.
