Mine was a combination of selling my XKR and my pay off gratuity after 35 years in the Royal Navy.

Hi Ed, looks like someone sold the use of the image to a photo library and the Daily Mail will have paid them a licence fee to use it. Whoever took the image either sold it for a flat fee or gets a proportion of the licence fee. A well stocked photo library is a very good business to be in!!!!!!

Hi Ian,

It was some guy from Lincoln way according to the spy network (wife) that apparently took it.

She's like a blood hound when she gets started, so she soon tracked down the perpetrator.

No doubt he sold it to the news paper for a vast sum…….rolleyes

I never realised how much loot was involved looking at the prices on his site.

It's not rocket science to find out who it was if you root about a bit.

I'm not going to mention who it was but he wasn't there with a car and I did not know of his being there.

Obviously I shall now have to insist on a no camera policy at this years Event to avoid such replication………..biggrin

Bet he didn't put bugger all in the charity pot either……frown

How dare they publish a picture of my house without my permission. I shall be notifying the appropriate authorities.

it's amazing the daily mail managed to post a picture of a house without mentioning what it's worth!

Phew - I though you were reaching for a peaked cap with a wagging finger there Ed! Actually as its private land and an organised event you could sell commercial photographers's passes to permit commercial use I'm sure. Its just the balance between not discouraging free publicity and getting a bit more dosh for the charities.

We still need to discuss if we are going to make a little mooovie too. You have my number smile

Kind of ironic that the newspaper heading mentions fat cats and the first car in the line up which is a DBS, ingested its cats......engine destroyed
