I have an essex v6 block, bored out to +60 crank ground with new bearings it has a steel timing gear V65 cam
new tappits and pushrods.
I have standard heads or stage 3 to go on, not sure if the extra lift with the stage 3 heads and cam will foul the pistons or the pistons are strong enough, i think the cam is 11.5 lift also choice of 40dfav or 38 dgas carbs
Anyone know the best route

I would ask on a more ford specific forum, all you will get on here are muppets like the one abovenew tappits and pushrods.

You have to fit the stage 3 heads. Big valves will make a big difference.
With that cam, you will need to pocket the pistons and I think you'll need to do something with the valve springs, I think they may be too weak and coil bind, so the spring seats may need machining.
I'd also go with the bigger carb, the V6 is restricted for inlet airflow, so needs a bigger carb or carbs.
Electronic ignition works well on the V6, as it helps ignite the poor mixture due fuel distribution being poor.
