New hat time £££
Discussion
So far I have managed around 30,000 miles out of my HJC. It is defiantly getting towards the end of its life.
I have been round the houses looking at helmets, and have settled on the Schuberth C3 Pro. Best fit, comfort, acoustics and features. I also really like the Schuberth C3 SRC Bluetooth Communication System. Am using a crappy £30 ebay jobbie at the moment and whilst it works, it can be uncomfortable, radio is crap and it is now starting to crackle cut in / out.
My only problem with the proposed Schuberth solution?
The price... £750 !
And that's about the best I can find.
My challenge to you... Am i getting the right helmet?
Can you find the lid and SRC system cheaper any ware else? (And not in white or yellow)
Help me save a few quid so im not eating beans for a month!

cannot you not go to this weekends bike show and negotiate a discount
or walk into a schuberth dealer and do the same
I think Motolegends in Guildford will match the price of any UK supplier.or walk into a schuberth dealer and do the same
SS7
PS Or European one: http://www.motolegends.com/customer-service/price-...
Have a look at the Shark Evo One (the new Evoline) with bluetooth
I saw an ad the other day, bluetooth installed for £100
http://www.firecrestmoto.co.uk/
I looked at one the other day, I've been wearing the Evoline for 4 years and really like it, the version is even better/smaller/lighter/better fit/quieter

Is it a plain colour you are after? I work at GetGeared and can do the helmet and collar for less than £700.
Drop me a pm if you're interested. A few from here have bought some stuff from me before and been happy.
OP - I'd recommend this. The German sites aren't much cheaper now (£680) so getting it from somewhere in the UK and from a PHer is the way to go imo. Drop me a pm if you're interested. A few from here have bought some stuff from me before and been happy.

The HJC is crap if im honest. Wont have another.
Worth a look at shark, though i mostly after the austic properties of the Schuberth.
Tom - Will PM, but donr hold out much hope of it working.
I currently have 2 HJC helmets, a RPHA+ and a RPHA ST, these 2 replaced my Shoei XR1100 and my Shoei GT Air, the XR1100 is a great helmet but I just fancied a new lid, the GT Air is great lid too but after 1 hour it was hurting my ears, I tried a lot of things but it seemed to push my ear plugs into my eardrum so I sold it.Worth a look at shark, though i mostly after the austic properties of the Schuberth.

The HJC's are great and I think they are just as good as a Shoei but at a lot less cost.
As a follow up and closure to this thread, i eventually got my ass in gear and brought a C3 Pro through SAS Tom on here.
Great service and a good guy, went for a slightly nicer pattern on the lid so cost a little extra, but worth it.
Hat turned up a week later, everything as expected. Fitted the SRS (What a pain) and was up and running.
Probably covered nearly 1,000 miles in it now.
- Not as quiet as I had hoped, still need ear plugs for anything long distance motorway > 90mph
- Fit takes a while to get used too, I had a red mark on my forehead for the first week of using it.
- Pin lock is epic, i will never be without one again.
- Flip front takes getting used too. One morning i was confused at the amount of extra wind noise i was getting on the motorway... Turned out the flip lock had not engaged properly on one side.
- SCS, it is great. but bloody complicated. Cough or sneeze in the helmet and it starts listening for a voice command.
All in all. 8/10. Maby my budget HJC was better than i thought.

I'm looking at one of those (also from Tom as it happens), I think my mind is made up. Going for the white and yellow model, as long as it fits!
I'm very tempted by the comms system but it isn't cheap! I assume it's a standard bluetooth thing, so will be compatible with any other comms system?
