Since entering the UK market in 2009, luxury Japanese automotive brand Infiniti has gone from strength to strength, recently becoming the largest new marque to manufacture cars in the UK for 23 years. Now PistonHeads are giving you an exclusive chance to spend 48 hours test driving an Infiniti Q30.

So whether you’re in the market for a luxury car which stands out from the crowd or are curious what sets Infiniti apart from its peers, now’s your chance to find out for yourself what it’s like to drive a car from the manufacturer that’s taking the rest of the world by storm.

Simply complete the form to register your interest and an Infiniti dealer will be in touch to confirm test details.

Is there any age restriction on this?

I have trouble test driving cars, being 21.

Anyone done this one yet?

I filled the form in at approx 6.40pm yesterday and got a call from my local dealer at 2.30pm today. Decent chap but didn't seem overly aware of the specific PH 48 hr test drive thing, so talked about what i currently drove and what i was looking at, and the Q30 itself, and then finished (respectfully) with 'Well, what do you from us then? A look at a car? A brochure posting out?'.

No mate, i want one for 48 hours as per the advert so i can have a proper look.

I've arranged to call in for a quick look sometime in the next couple of weeks, then i'm going to hit them with the 'When can i have it for 48 hours?' line.

Good to see that lessons have been learned from the feedback to the BMW and Skoda test drive 'promotions'.

It's a strange car - Mercedes A Class in a different body-shell, built in the UK.

Merc is dated, Q30 looks like a strong competitor in the segment

Sorry for any inconvenience you've experienced with this promotion so far. Infiniti have assured us that all dealerships are fully aware of the promotion, and they're very much looking forward to supporting this. As we're in the first few days of the promotion, it may be that the particular member of staff you spoke with had not been briefed, however they should now be aware and it won't be an issue organising your 48 hour test drive.

Please let us know how you get on, we look forward to reading your feedback in due course! If you have any further issues please contact me directly.

Infiniti HQ might be dead keen, but I bet the dealerships aren't looking forward to the queue of timewasters and pisstakers this will drag in.

A 48 hour test drive might be good for finally sealing the deal, but it's a dreadful way of getting folk across the threshold.

Sounds like it, "the largest new marque to manufacture cars in the UK for 23 years."

They are built in the Nissan plant in Sunderland although there is quite a bit of Mercedes A class in it.

Looks like a posh version of the Nissan Pulsar. I had one as a rental once, harmless enough, nothing bad about it, but not as good as a Focus or Astra overall. So add some more poshness and all of a sudden everyone likes it...

Apart from somebody who works for Infiniti, or maybe Nissan, this is one of those cars that you wonder who on earth would buy it.

Just been called back from my local Infiniti dealer (Stockport). They are not offering a 48 hour test drive. Infiniti UK customer service also advised that they hadn't heard of the 48 hour test drive.

Not good.

I'll follow up on this for you, it's a valid offer that others have been able to claim with no issues. Will keep you posted.
