Anyone picked this up this week?
As a 30+ 'gamer' with almost no gaming time available this was a breath of fresh air. Barely 5 hours long but a surprisingly deep and very restrained storyline that packs quite a punch. Loved it, best game I've played in many, many years and possibly the first time I've seen end credits since Sonic 3.

I'd love to play it but don't have a ps4 or a PC. Looks really intriguing though.
Hoping it comes across to X1 at some point.
There are some good "story" games about
Gone home
The swapper
Everybodies gone to the rapture
Oxenfree
Life is strange
I haven't played any of them but they are meant to be good in their own ways. Check out some reviews or YouTube videos to see what you think.

Played this over the weekend; I noticed I have inadvertently been playing story-lead adventure games a lot recently (Hard Rain, Beyond Two Souls, Life is Strange, Until Dawn, now this). Really enjoyed it; won't give anything away, but I've read how some people are really disappointed with the game and how it ends but safe to say I'm not one of them. A poignant opening, a nice, relaxed pace, some good music and great relationship between the two main characters. Will replay in a few months time and try some different dialogue options

I'm part way through the game at the moment. Enjoying cruising around making small decisions and checking out the ambiance of the location.RW
As another 30+ yo gamer who's finding it increasingly difficult to finish a game, Everyone's Gone to the Rapture, Gone Home, Soma, and (currently playing) Firewatch are a godsend!
I really love games. I've grown up with them and the medium has so much potential. But the mainstream titles appear to be evolving at a snails pace from what we had 10 years ago. I admire the work in titles like CoD but they just don't grip me like they used to.
These new 'Walking Simulators' are changing that. Soma and Rapture were probably two of the most affecting experience the medium has yet offered!
Here's hoping developers can merge CoD's production values with these new writing talents and package it in a solid VR engine.
