Was anyone else at Wembley last night? Not too shoddy for a couple of septuagenarians one of whom was very ill just a few months ago. A damn sight better than the O2 gig last year.

Have been a big fan since the mid 70,s but just never made a gig when they were at their pomp with Mr Moon on sticks.

Have seen them several times with Kenny Jones and Zak Starky, but always felt they were fading fast. Still reckon Townsend issue ne of premier rock writers but maybe time to call it a day.

I first saw them at the Savile theatre in London in 1967, subsequently several times at Wembley and once at Charlton Athletic (the Who put the boot in" claimed by the Guinness book of records as the loudest ever.

I saw Moon and I saw Jones ( a great drummer) I saw Simon Phillips too. Now it's a different , bigger less basic show with a big band though I have seen them with a bigger band. Roger is obviously not the singer he was but I thought he was bloody good for a 70 year old who was recently quite ill.

I will be very sorry if they ever knock it on the head for good. 50 odd years as a fan and fellow Acton County boy!
