Bentley with UK reg 277M41. What's that about ?

Just found a Clarkson roadtest in a 2007 copy of Sunday Times of a Continental GTC. Car has a UK style registration plate with number 277M41 Youth in house just asked and I'm scratching my head. It's not normal DVLA issue or Irish or diplomatic but I have no idea so time to ask the Pistonheads brain !?

EVO did a feature on a car where all the photos had an invalid number plate. I think it turned out that it was one of the first of the production run and the owner had been told not to lend it to the press, so wished to remain anonymous.
