Since I've owned my 04 CV8 Monaro I've always had it serviced at Holden Racing. However they have stopped offering servicing recently for the foreseeable future... so where best to take the car now (bearing in mind Monkish is a fair distance from me in Kent).

I've got a trustworthy garage locally who I use for MOT and smaller bits on bobs, but they're just a regular non-specialist garage - would I be better off going to a place more familiar with Monaros? I know NWJ has a good rep but again he's a little way from me.

Would any future saleability be significantly affected if the car was no longer full Vauxhall/ Holden specialist history?

Canterbury, so not too far. In fact I went further to get to Holden Racing but I liked the fact that the techie was an ex Greens VX guy.

Would a non-specialist SH put people off buying a car such as this in future?

I can't say a non specialist service record would worry me. Personally as long as they have used the right parts and are a credible garage then why not. Also I know some cars are a bit special but engine-wise the LS engine is hardly rocket science when it comes to oil, filters and even plugs and leads etc. Ultimately the decision is yours.

I did exactly the same, couple of trips to Monkfish when first got the car, local servicing done by Holden Racing (as they're a mile from my office), and to Neil for MOT etc. However, with HR gone and now I'm more aware of Neil, and he is suitably known on this forum, I think anybody looking for these cars seem to gravitate frequently enough to this forum or the faceache one and will therefore be aware enough of Neil and his involvement with these cars to instill confidence.

I don't see any issues with using Neil for servicing etc from now on.
