Discussion
S Series uses the Sierra upright, bottom ball joint is Fiat 124 (top is Saab 900).
There is however some discussion as to whether some of these joints have enough articulation for the Chimaera/Griffith? You may wish to purchase from a respected TVR Specialist to ensure you have no issues.
ETA... Fiat 124 went on to become the Lada Riva

They are originally Lada 1200 / 1600 Riva Niva or Fiat 132 Argenta FSO125, try searching for the old Quentin Hazell part number QSJ767 on ebay.TVR increased the top aperture to increase the articulation that’s only required when jacking up the car, otherwise when jacking up, the ball joint restricts the suspension droop stopping the wheels hanging so low. This can make adjusting the camber harder while the suspension is hanging.
BUT, playing devil's advocate, the aperture takes the weight of the car so you could argue the original Lada ones with the smaller aperture are stronger and therefore safer.
In the past I’ve used both and remember with the Lada ones having to assemble the bottom arm and shock/spring first and then jacking up the hub to fit the top ball joint bolts.
