Looks like a pretty boggo lead acid job. Nothing special for £50.

I'll take a lithium ion one over one of those any day of the week. Lithium jump packs make far more sense than a lead iron one.I've had 2 previous jump packs with great big lead batteries and whilst they done the job - they were heavy and had an absurd recharge time (24 hours) and both failed - primarily down to either too much charge or not enough. A complete pain in the arse and not really good value.
I now have one of these :

Quite frankly i am amazed that it works and sure there must be witchcraft involved. I have a few Anker products and they have a good warranty on them. This sits in the boot at all times in its case and weighs a tiny amount in comparison. The 12v charging lead works well as well. Charges in 3 hours or so.

I got the Bakth one as it won the auto express test:

For £50, its a handy piece of kit to have, and it has just about manages to start a V8 (albeit not completely dead battery).
Most of them seem to be rated at 400A peak current so probably all made in the same factory in China and branded differently!!

I thought this was the 'go to' starter pack of choice.

I had one of those, weighs a 'ton', leads too short to reach my battery unless I balanced it on top of the rocker cover and didn't work any better than the smaller 'store in the glove box' one.
They're worse, but hey, this is PH, we don't let facts get in the way of telling people what to do PhillipM said:

I have this one
I have started the 3.5L v8 in my tvr with it (battery wasnt completely dead but no hope of it starting)
Can you get an Anderson connector for these? My T350 seems to go flat if it's not driven for a few days (annoying as it's stored about 50 miles from me!) and it's a massive pain to push the car up a slope to get it somewhere I can jump it from my other car.I have started the 3.5L v8 in my tvr with it (battery wasnt completely dead but no hope of it starting)
I got a jump pack from Halfrauds, which also has LED lamp and a couple of fag lighter type sockets. It was less than £50 and has proved utterly reliable. It'll also start anything up to around 3 litres I believe? Certainly started my 2.3 with ease anyway. I also saw Lidl selling them for £29.99 a few weeks ago.
May be Aldi? I always confuse the two.
