Haha! I Dont think its an Arnold Clark is it?
I have the service history confirmed which is fine as I called BMW main CS however this particular car went in for warranty work 6 times in 2013 so I am curious as to what it was more than anything

As above, they are definitely AC trading under the HF name... I would be very wary of buying anything that's been in the AC dealer network and especially something which has seen the workshop as much as that car has.

That is why I really want to know what it went in for, I guess the good news is, since then it has not went in for anything except servicing.

As said up there ^^^ they are part of Arnold Clark, who just received Best Retail Group at the 2016 AM Awards... (It is Fairbairn by the way, the name coming from the original Ayrshire Dealers)

If they have carried out any work on the car, then they will have EASY access to the Service History, what you need is someone with access to this... After that it is a 2 minute job to get details...

In Fairness I used this dealership a few times when I had a Z4M and found them great (they were part of Arnie then too).

Workshop manager came out on a test drive I've with me so that I could demonstrate some problems and he seemed knowledgable and genuinely interested in me and the car.

Haha, sorry... just seen others have their fingers burnt by AC in the past and I was part of their 'Management Trainee' scheme a few years ago, which gave me a look behind the scenes. Their prices are always pretty keen and as long as you check the car over fully then I guess you're doing all you can to ensure a good purchase.

You will be getting a year of AUC warranty with whatever it is, but if you haggle for a two year BMW warranty then I'm sure that would be enough peace of mind for anything that may/may not crop up.
