The line aft of the front wheels reminds me of the TVR Tuscan... no, not the recent car but the altogether less elegant original:

The DB11 is not a bad looking car, and if almost any other manufacturer came out with it I'd probably praise it. It's also noticeably different from previous Astons. However, it's also worse, fussier, less elegant, and just less special, and that seems a shame.

Hope it's great to drive, though.

Interesting that they took inspiration from the Peugeot RCZ for the pillars/roofline.

Looks quite nice overall.

I reserve the right to change my mind, after I've looked at it more.

I like it - they've done a good job here.

Lacks the elegance the DB9 had on launch, which was surely a difficult path to follow anyway. It looks good; but I'm not sure it looks 'great'. It also appears to have followed the fatal trap of having diamond cut alloys which look bloody awful no matter what the rim design was. The DB9 by comparison had quite simple alloys which complimented the car, rather than these overly-blingy hideous tat, which are no doubt reassuringly expensive. Or inexplicably expensive.

The side profile looks fairly dramatic around the rear quarter. That works well. The front end looks bulbous and ungainly. It doesn't strike me as a beauty but at least it's not a generic looking as the previous generation of Aston Martin cars.

Far too fussy. A fail for me.

Yeah i thought a bit too much I8 as well. That rear "wedge" shape isnt the best. The db9 was always going to be a tough act to follow looks wise.

Too many vents in the bonnet too!

For me an Aston Martin should be elegant, good looking almost without trying. This is fussy, over complicated and doesn't work IMO.

It looks fussy in the photos but I'll save my judgement until I've seen it.

Hopefully the roof line pillars can be spec'd in body colour to reduce the busy nature somewhat. Those wheels were awful on the DB10 thing, and worse on that - and the rear no longer "lifts", which is a shame.

It's not ugly at all; but I'm on the fence as to why I don't like it. Odd.

I'm glad that wasn't just me. The headlights remind me of a Ferrari as well, possibly the FF.

I'm not sure it's a looker at the minute. But, that is probably a good thing. Aston Martin needed to move the game on from their current design ethos a *lot*, so if they were going to be successful what ever they came up with needed to be very different.

Unmistakably AM, but fussy design in many areas.

Elegant it is not IMO, but I guess there are similarities with the people who will buy it.

Not sure why so many expensive cars are so shouty. Understatement will come back into fashion one day.

Looks okay to me - it still retains the Aston "shape" but more muscular. I'll reserve judgement until I see on in the flesh (which is very unlikely).

Doesn't do anything for me, but it will probably look better in the flesh.

Definite overkill on the styling! It's just too 'busy' which makes it hard to look at. Disappointing!

That looks terrific. At least someone can still design a pretty car.
